The questions and answers compiled in the list above have been found from database websites, players of the game, and readers sharing questions and answers with us in the comment section below.

Rise of Kingdoms continually adds new questions to the Peerless Scholar quiz, so a new question might not have been added to the list yet at the time that you are looking for its answer.

What is the Lyceum of Wisdom

Once you unlock City Hall level 10, you gain access to the Lyceum of Wisdom building.

In this building, players can participate in the “Peerless Scholar,” a quiz minigame event.

This event is an important information hub where people can meet, socialize, put their knowledge of the game and general world history to the test, and advance together.

If you pass, you will receive useful rewards, and if you make it to the end, you will receive even more useful rewards.

How to participate in the Peerless Scholar quiz and rewards

As soon as you get to City Hall level 10, you can build the Lyceum of Wisdom building and participate in the Peerless Scholar quiz through it.

The Peerless Scholar has three stages:

You have to participate and answer enough questions correctly in the preliminaries before you can move on to the midterm.

Lastly, complete at least one midterm during the month to qualify for the final exam.

Preliminary exam

A single Preliminary exam consists of 10 questions.

Every day, players can take part in one preliminary event.

No limitations exist at this point, and the participants are free to ask for Alliance help, Google, and take their time to answer the questions.

You can seek help from Alliance members with up to 3 questions.

Every wrong answer you give will reduce your total rewards and current question rewards, but you can continue with the quiz.

Rewards from the preliminary exam include:

  • Speedups
  • Resources
  • Qulification for the midterm exam (at least 6 questions answered correctly required)
  • Midterm Life Token (at least 9 questions answered correctly required)

Midterm exam

A single midterm exam consists of 15 questions, all of which players must answer within a limited time frame in a live session.

The questions are divided into three parts:

  • Question 1-5: 15 secs timer
  • Question 6-10: 12 secs timer
  • Question 11-15: 10 secs timer

Every week, players have a chance to participate in one of two midterm sessions.

Players can choose to take the quiz at either 2:30 or 12:30. Registration is required at least 5 minutes before a session starts.

One incorrect answer, and you won’t be allowed to continue with the exam unless you’ve earned Midlife Tokens during the preliminaries.

The midterm Life Token is consumed automatically, and the question is assumed to be correctly answered. You can then proceed to the next question.

Once all the tokens have been consumed and you answer a question incorrectly, you will be disqualified.

You could fail three questions but still pass and proceed to finals if you had at least 3 midterm Life Tokens.

Requirements to participate in the midterm exams

  • Answer at least six questions correctly in a single preliminary event.
  • Join the answering panel at least 5 minutes before the quiz starts.

Rewards from the midterm exam include:

  • Speedups (at least 6 questions answered correctly required)
  • Resources (at least 6 questions answered correctly required)
  • Silver Chest (Answer question 10 correctly required)
  • Alliance Chest (Answer question 15 correctly required)
  • Gems from a pool of up to 1,500,000 Gems (all 15 questions answered correctly required)
  • Qulification to the final exam (all 15 questions answered correctly required)

Final exam

A single Final exam consists of 20 questions, all of which players must answer within a limited frame.

The questions are divided into three parts:

  • Question 1-5: 15 secs timer
  • Question 6-10: 12 secs timer
  • Question 11-20: 10 secs timer

Finals take place once every month.

Governors who have passed at least one midterm exam during the month can take the final on every last Saturday of the month at 14:30 UTC.

If a player doesn’t register 5 minutes before the finals start, they cannot participate.

A single incorrect answer ends the final exam unless the player has a Life Token.

When all Life Tokens have been consumed and you answer a question incorrectly, you are disqualified.

Life Tokens are a reward given for the successful completion of a midterm exam.

Requirements to participate in the final exam

  • Successful completion of a single midterm exam.
  • Join the answering panel at least 5 minutes before the quiz starts.

Rewards from the midterm exam include:

  • Speedups (at least 5 questions answered correctly required)
  • Resources (at least 5 questions answered correctly required)
  • Alliance Chests (answer question 10, 15 correctly required)
  • Gems from a pool of up to 5,000,000 Gems (all 20 questions answered correctly required)

Rise of Kingdoms – How To Increase March Queue Slots & Troop Capacity https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-increase-march-queue-slots-troop-capacity/ https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-increase-march-queue-slots-troop-capacity/#respond Tue, 04 May 2021 19:01:32 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=17707 Your march queue, also known as troop dispatch queue, and your troop capacity are two important stats in Rise of Kingdoms.

By increasing your march queue slots, you will be able to progress faster and gather more resources, as you can do more tasks in your kingdom at once.

March queue describes the number of troop dispatches you can do at once, while troop capacity describes the number of troops a commander can lead.

Having a higher troop capacity helps you increase your chances of success of marches, as you can bring a higher number of troops.

You can increase your number of march queue slots in Rise of Kingdoms by upgrading your City Hall. Your troop capacity can be increased by upgrading your City Hall, leveling up your commander, using commander talents, and some commander skills – more information on all of this below.

Table of contents

What is march queue?

March queue in Rise of Kingdoms, also known as troop dispatch slots, is the number of marches you can start at once.

Having a higher march queue is greatly beneficial, as it allows you to start more battles and march to more resources at the same time.

All governors begin with a march queue of 1.

Troops in the march queue are the ones deployed to hunt barbarians, gather resources, do city reinforcements and rallies.

Having multiple troop dispatch slots makes you need more troops to be successful, as you want to dispatch many troops in each march.

What is troop capacity?

Troop capacity in Rise of Kingdoms is the number of troops a commander can lead at a time.

Having a greater troop capacity allows you to bring more troops, which increases your chances of success in battles and on missions.

If you are struggling with farming barbarians of higher levels, etc., increasing your troop capacity can be the solution to your problem.

There are a couple of ways to increase troop capacity in the game, all of which are covered below.

How to increase march queue slots

You can increase march queue, also known as troop dispatch slots, in Rise of Kingdoms by upgrading your City Hall.

Every time you upgrade your City Hall after reaching a new age in the game, your march queue increases by one, which means you get one more troop dispatch slot.

Your march queue can increase to a maximum of five.

At the start of the game, you only have one march queue slot.

Your march queue increases by one at the following City Hall levels:

  • City Hall Level 5: 2nd march queue slot unlocked (Bronze Age)
  • City Hall Level 11: 3rd march queue slot unlocked (Iron Age)
  • City Hall Level 17: 4th march queue slot unlocked (Dark Age)
  • City Hall Level 22: 5th march queue slot unlocked (Feudal Age)

As you upgrade your City Hall, you get additional rewards as well, including gems, speedups, and resources.

You can see the exact rewards you get at each City Hall level in our full City Hall guide.

How to increase troop capacity

You can increase your troop capacity in Rise of Kingdoms by upgrading your City Hall, leveling up your commanders, and by using troop capacity-boosting commander talents and skills.

Each time you upgrade your City Hall to a new level, your troop capacity will be increased.

This is yet another reason why you want to focus your efforts on upgrading your City Hall.

Every star the commander levels up to increases the troop capacity.

For example, at commander level 2, the commander will have 700 troops.

The maximum number of stars a commander can obtain is 6 which gives them a level cap of 60 and a troop capacity of 50,000.

Every commander has unique strengths and areas they excel.

Commanders such as Cesar and Scipio have special talents that increase your troop capacity.

Your commander must reach a certain star level before they can increase troop capacity.

What star level they must reach depends on what commander it is.

The skills of some commanders increase your troop capacity further.

An example is Osman, who has the skill, Sultan’s Glory, which increases troop capacity by 10%.

When you can bring a second commander to a march, you can increase the total troop capacity even further by choosing commanders that have troop-capacity building skills as the first and second commanders.

That’s how to increase your march queue slots and troop capacity in Rise of Kingdoms!

Rise of Kingdoms – How To Get Speedups https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-get-speedups/ https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-get-speedups/#respond Sun, 02 May 2021 22:41:31 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=17602 Speedups are arguably the most important items in Rise of Kingdoms.

With them, you can develop your city faster, as they reduce training or building time.

This means that you can instantly skip the time it takes to train troops, research technology, building, upgrade, and more, which is very powerful.

If you’re looking to progress quickly, farming speedups should be a priority for you.

You can get speedups in Rise of Kingdoms by participating in events, completing various tasks and quests, upgrading your City Hall, purchasing them, spending action points, and being in a strong alliance – find more information on each method below.

Table of contents

Participating in events

There are many great events in Rise of Kingdoms, and from several of these, you can get speedups.

Therefore, we recommend you always check out what events are currently running and which are going to start soon.

Eve of Crusade, for example, is an event that you should definitely participate in to get speedups.

You can also participate in the Ceroli Crisis event and earn Ceroli currency.

You can spend this currency on speedups. Other events you can participate in to earn speedups include:

  • Wheel of fortune
  • More than gems
  • Lohar’s Trial
  • Clarion Call
  • Era breakthrough
  • Imperial wealth
  • Tiles and bricks, among many others

Tasks and quests

Many tasks and quests in Rise of Kingdoms give speedups as a reward.

You can get them from the following tasks and quests:

  • Opening chests
  • Daily objectives
  • Quests
  • Farming barbarians
  • Sunset Canyon
  • Peerless Scholar

You can get speedups by opening chests with gold and silver keys.

You can get both building, research, and universal speedups as well as other great rewards, including sculptures and heroes from this.

Completing daily objectives is a great way to earn speedups as well as other useful items and resources.

Every single day, you get a set of new daily objectives to complete.

These are simple tasks that can be quickly completed.

Every daily objective you complete gives you activity points towards that day’s daily reward chests.

There are five reward chests to unlock in the daily objectives tab that are unlocked at 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100 activity points.

The first four chests in the daily objective tab give at least one speedup, and the final chest gives both 100 gems and a golden key, both of which can be used to obtain additional speedups.

Quests are tasks that guide you through the game and gives you rewards upon reaching new milestones.

Some of the quests in the game give you speedups as a reward.

Fighting barbarians around the map is a nice way to earn additional resources. One of the rewards you can get upon defeating barbarians is speedups.

Sunset Canyon is one of the things you can do in the campaign section of Rise of Kingdoms.

Here, you will earn rewards for your efforts, even if you lose.

One of the rewards that you can get in here is speedups.

Every single day, the Peerless Scholar quiz will be available for you to take.

You will earn rewards depending on how well you perform.

Speedups are one of the rewards that you can get from doing the Peerless Scholar quiz.

In-game stores

There are multiple stores in Rise of Kingdoms where you can purchase speedups.

You can purchase speedups in the following in-game stores:

  • Mysterious merchant
  • Expedition medal store
  • Alliance shop
  • VIP shop

The mysterious merchant will visit your city from time to time.

When they do, an icon will appear over the Courier Station.

From the mysterious merchant, you can purchase items at a discounted rate.

As you defeat barbarians, upgrade buildings, and train troops, the mysterious merchant will appear with higher frequency.

You can purchase many different things from the mysterious merchant, including speedups.

Items the mysterious merchant sells can only be bought once until they appear again.

Sometimes the expedition medal store sells speedups, but this doesn’t happen all the time.

If you happen to see speedups in the expedition metal store, and you have medal coins, we recommend you buy them.

There are several types of speedups for sale in the alliance shop in Rise of Kingdoms.

We recommend you go for the 3-hour ones, as they give you the most value per individual credit spent.

Items in the VIP shop are usually sold at a discount.

This means that if you purchase speedups from the VIP shop, the chances are that you’ll be spending fewer gems than you would otherwise.

This is another reason why you want to start getting those VIP points to improve your VIP level.

Upgrade City Hall

Rise of Kingdoms – How To Delete/Unlink Account https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-delete-unlink-account/ https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-delete-unlink-account/#comments Fri, 30 Apr 2021 16:29:20 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=17597 Sometimes, players wish to unlink their current Rise of Kingdoms account from the email they’ve linked it to.

Or, maybe you’ve had enough of the fantasy world of heroes and civilizations in Rise of Kingdoms, and you wish to move on by deleting the account.

To delete/unlink your Rise of Kingdom account, you have to write an email to Rise of Kingdoms directly requesting them to close the account by removing it from their database. Currently, there is no official way to do so in the game.

Table of contents

Here’s how to delete/unlink your Rise of Kingdoms.

  1. Open the email account you used to register for the game.
  2. Write to the in-game support system using the email address: privacy-service@lilithgames.com. Make sure the subject title reads “REQUEST TO DELETE MY RISE OF KINGDOMS ACCOUNT”.
  3. Give a clear and in-depth explanation of why you need your account deleted and all your information removed from the Rise of Kingdom database.

Understand that this strategy might not always work if you don’t have a valid or convincing reason.

Furthermore, there is no official way to delete/unlink a Rise of Kingdoms account, so there is no guarantee this will work.

Try your best to give reasonable, straightforward, and legitimate reasons for your request.

If the process is successful and you would like to keep your progress in the game, make sure to link the RoK account to another email.

This strategy is more like a backup. If you don’t, your account will become a dead city, and all your progress may be lost.

You will have to start all over again from the beginning if you are interested in joining the game again from where you were before.

Rise of Kingdoms – How To Get VIP Points https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-get-vip-points/ https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-how-to-get-vip-points/#respond Mon, 26 Apr 2021 22:53:40 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=17481 VIP is a system that rewards you with powerful, exclusive bonuses and legendary sculptures depending on your VIP rank in the game.

More VIP points give you a higher VIP rank and better benefits.

You can take advantage of these exclusive benefits by activating your VIP bonus.

Your current VIP status appears as part of your profile on the upper-left corner of the screen.

You can get VIP points by purchasing packages in the alliance shop, using your gems at the VIP shop, leveling up, claiming daily login rewards, and through alliance rewards – more information below.

Table of contents

Purchase packages in the alliance shop

Every single purchase at the alliance shop earns you VIP points, depending on your current VIP tier.

The more points you collect, the more you advance in the VIP tier list.

To purchase these packages, you must have enough alliance credits.

For example, 50,000 alliance credits will buy you a single item that will earn you up to 100 VIP points.

If the alliance shop doesn’t have any VIP points to purchase, the leader of your alliance should be made aware, and they can add VIP points to the shop.

You can build forts, flags, participate in events, farm, donate or help alliance members to obtain credits to purchase packages.

Spend gems in the VIP shop

Every gem spent in the game earns you 1 VIP point.

Spending gems is the fastest way to increase your VIP level in Rise of Kingdoms.

If you want to make the most of your gems to earn VIP points, spend them during the “More than Gems” event.

If you are not rushing to get to a higher VIP level, then you should wait for this event.

Level up

Every time you gather enough XP to level up, you will earn VIP points.

Leveling up to earn VIP points is a great way to ensure that you progress through the game as well.

This method isn’t the best to get a lot of VIP points fast, but it is nice as you get other useful rewards at the same time and become stronger.

Daily login VIP points

At the top left side of the screen lies your VIP level status.

Every day, you can log in and click on it to redeem up to 200 VIP points.

Consecutive logins earn you more points.

Try logging in as frequently as you can, if not daily, to take advantage of these free VIP points.

Alliance rewards

As part of an active alliance, you may earn VIP points when an alliance member buys a chest.

There is always a chance of getting VIP points when these chests are opened, even though it’s not a guarantee.

The alliance rewards have 1000, 200, 100, 50, or 10 VIP points.

Try joining an alliance where members spend a lot.

This way, you can speed up the process.

As a free-to-play player, rewards are one of the best ways to get VIP points faster.

VIP point milestones

Depending on your VIP level, you can unlock the VIP shop by building shop when you get to Level 5 City Hall.

With the VIP Shop, you will spend fewer gems to purchase items.

Another crucial milestone is VIP level 10.

You will get one legendary commander sculpture, ToK, and resources inside the VIP level 10 exclusive chest available daily.

You can also purchase the Special Privileges Chest every time you get to a new VIP level.

With so many valuables in the chest at a discounted price, you are allowed to purchase only one chest for every VIP level.

Lastly, you can, of course, purchase gems to increase your VIP level quickly.

Rise of Kingdoms – Alliance Guide: How To Join, Create, Change, Etc. https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-alliance-guide/ https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-alliance-guide/#comments Thu, 22 Apr 2021 20:24:13 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=17319 The alliance system in Rise of Kingdoms is a major part of the game, as much of the game consists around fighting alongside your alliance members and expanding your alliance’s territory.

Being in an alliance comes with a number of benefits, including access to the alliance store, alliance fights, and buffs.

In this guide, we give you all the information you need about the alliance system in Rise of Kingdoms!

Table of contents

What is an alliance?

An alliance in Rise of Kingdoms is a group of allied players who fight together and help each other grow.

In Rise of Kingdoms, an alliance is more of an advanced guild system, a brotherhood that you can either join or create.

As a member of an alliance, you can play with several people and invite your friends to share in the fun in all its forms.

The mechanics of the game are transformed entirely once you join an alliance so that you can enjoy an extraordinary gaming experience.

The growth of your civilization is fundamentally connected to the alliance, and one of the main tasks in Rise of Kingdoms is to be in an alliance, participating in its activities, and grow it.

You can grow your alliance by expanding its territory through building flags, fortresses and taking over neutral buildings (Holy sites, Lost temple, altars, shrines, and passes).

The territory an alliance owns is marked in color so that it’s clear who controls it.

As you play within the territory, you will get rewards such as improved gathering rates, increased damages caused to alliance enemies, and enhanced defenses.

All these will depend on how advanced the technology in your alliance is.

How to join an alliance

As a new player, you should focus on joining an alliance and growing your power.

Given all the benefits that come with being in an alliance, we recommend you join one as soon as possible.

Once you identify an alliance with active players you wish to join, you should request to join it.

To join an alliance in Rise of Kingdoms, click the menu button in the bottom right corner of the screen, click the Alliance icon, click the JOIN button, and select an alliance from the list that you wish to join.

All alliances are either on an apply-basis or join-basis. You can join alliances that are on a join-basis just by selecting it and clicking join.

You have to apply and be accepted by the alliance leader if you wish to join an alliance that is on an apply-basis.

At the beginning of the game, we recommend you just join an alliance that is on a join-basis, as it can be difficult to get into an alliance that has to accept you first.

The alliances that are on an apply-basis are usually the stronger, more established alliances.

Once you’re in an alliance, take advantage of the benefits provided.

Following your acceptance into an alliance, you should be active and help other members of the alliance when they need it and participate in alliance events that are existing – both for the alliance’s benefit but also for your own.

How to create an alliance

Some players don’t want to join an existing alliance in the game.

They would rather create a new one they control.

There are a couple of requirements you need to meet if you are one of those:

  • You should have the alliance center building.
  • You must have 500 gems.

To create an alliance in Rise of Kingdoms, click the menu button in the bottom right corner of the screen, click the Alliance icon, and click the CREATE button.

On the alliance creation window, you will be required to personalize it, which includes giving it a name, tag, announcement, and flag.

In the announcement, it’s a good idea to state the kind of players you are looking for, what is required of them, and the language that is spoken in your alliance.

  • Name: this should be your alliance’s main name.  Language; do you want players who speak native or international languages?
  • Requirement: are you taking players instantly, or should they make an application first?
  • Alliance tag: this should be an initial of what the alliance represents with a maximum of 4 characters.
  • Announcement: this is a brief description of what the alliance is and what it stands for.
  • Alliance symbol: this is an Alliance Banner, also known as alliance flag, that you can design to your liking. It will represent your alliance and can be seen by other players in your kingdom.

Benefits of being in an alliance

An alliance will benefit you in many ways, one of the main ones being teleport.

As long as you are within alliance territory, you can use the territorial teleporter to move back and forth without having to worry about pass controls from another alliance.

You will also get access to useful benefits, including:

  • 300 free instant gems when you first join the alliance.
  • Alliance technologies

As soon as you join an alliance, you will get access to a useful research tree.

With other members of the alliance, you can carry out various researches that benefit the whole alliance.

With more members of the alliance donating their resources, research on development, war, and territories can be done faster to the benefit of the whole alliance.

  • Alliance gifts

When an alliance member makes a purchase on the in-game store or defeats an enemy, all members of the alliance win gifts (sculptures, store credits, and old coins).

Every gift gives an extra reward of 20-50 “key” points.

With 2,000,000 key points, you can open a special loot chest with goodies inside.

  • Alliance help

Alliance members can help each other build/upgrade buildings and do research.

Every time you receive help, 1% of the time required to complete the activities is reduced.

As you help other alliance members, you also gain 10,000 store credits.

More buildings produce a greater stream of resources that you can benefit from as a member of the alliance.

Alliance members can also conquer holy sites for the benefit of all the members.

  • Speed bonus

You gain 25% gathering speed when you are harvesting resources inside the alliance territory.

  • Military protection

Alliance members will help you fight raiders in times of war and give you protection during peaceful times.

You will also get help on the battlefield in Lohar’s Trial and Karuak Ceremony.

  • Resource points

With a larger alliance territory, you will have control of more resource points.

How to change alliance

Even alliances that were once great can become lethargic over time when members become inactive or leave.

When this happens, you may be faced with the difficult decision of moving on to greener pastures.

Make sure that the new alliance is worth it. Sometimes inactive alliances with inactive members can still run efficiently.

Even with inactive members, an extremely active alliance would still do better than many others as long as there are a few solid core members.

However, if you have decided to change alliance, here’s how to do it.

To change alliance in Rise of Kingdoms, open the alliance window by clicking the menu button in the bottom right corner, click the Alliance icon, and go to the settings tab on the left side of the alliance window – the bottom one. In the settings window, click Quit Alliance.

You are then no longer are a part of any alliance and can either create a new one or join another one.

As an alliance leader, you will only have the “Disband” option and not the “Quit” option.

If you are not the only member of that alliance you can transfer your leadership to another alliance member and then quit, allowing the alliance to keep existing.

This way, other members can still stay in the alliance and enjoy its advantages with the new leader.

Can you merge alliances?

No, you cannot merge alliances in Rise of Kingdoms.

Members of the alliances that want to merge would have to leave their current alliance and join the same new one, or all decide to join the same of one of the existing alliances.

How to get members in your alliance

Being in an active alliance is extremely beneficial.

Sometimes it becomes a little challenging for players looking for active alliances and alliances looking for members to find each other.

Inviting members into an alliance doesn’t have to be difficult, though.

To get members in your alliance, you can put out messages in the Kingdom Chat.

Alternatively, you can make your alliance open, which means people can join without applying, and it will quickly be filled.

For those looking for strong players, you want to have people apply to join your alliance, and the best way to attract good players is by building a strong, attractive alliance, which, of course, is no easy task.

Alliance buildings

There are three types of buildings that alliance members can build depending on available credits and resources.

Alliance flags

Flags mark and expand alliance territory. They must be built along the borders of the territory.

For every 10 flags built, a single space for one extra member is added.

The cost of the flag also increases as members build more flags.

The alliance can build a maximum of 500 flags.

The more flags an alliance has built, the better their resource earnings and productions become.

Troops have the power to garrison flags outside of battle or reinforce them during an attack.

However, only alliance leaders and officers can repair them.

One of the important tasks as an alliance member during battle is to protect your alliance’s flags and keep within their reach.

A fort must be built first before a flag is created on it.

It is impossible to build alliance flags outside the alliance’s territory.

Alliance resource center

Every alliance is given a single slot for a resource center which can be a:

  • Stonepit
  • Granary
  • Wood lot
  • Motherlode

Members of the alliance are free to collect what they need from the resource center as long as it exists.

The resource center and the troops working on it can never be explored or attacked.

As an officer or a leader of an alliance, you should always have at least a single resource center to benefit alliance members.

Alliance fortresses

As the most important pillar of the alliance, the fortress should be the priority of the leader and all alliance members.

It must be protected and defended at all costs.

All members of the alliance must help construct the fortress because it is an essential building, and it also takes a lot of time to build.

Once the fortress has been built, the alliance can start building flags as well.

Only leaders have the power to enter the fortress and make necessary repairs.

Every fortress requires a different number of resources to build, which increases as more members join the alliance and the alliance territory expands.

The resources needed can be collected within the territory and then supplied to the alliance.

For example, members can collect stone on alliance territory and then supply it to the alliance.

You need at least 500K power and 20+ members to build fortresses.

The maximum number of fortresses an alliance can build is three.

The first fortress that can be built is the Central fortress.

Without it, your alliance cannot build any flags.

It’s worth noting that you must destroy all fortresses in your kingdom if you want to build a fortress in KvK.

What are alliance gifts?

In ROK, players can reward their alliance members with gifts whenever they wish.

Every gift improves the General Chest for the benefit of all alliance members.

The chest contains multiple rewards.

Its drop quality increases after every 10 levels.

Alliance members have up to 24 hours to claim gifts sent to them by the Alliance panel.

How to get alliance resources

Wood, stone, food, and gold are very important resources for the alliance when playing in RoK.

To gather maximum resources the alliance can:

  • Farm inside Alliance Territory. For every member that farms, the alliance gains a percentage of their acquired resources.
  • Expand alliance territory. With more territory, members can farm more and get more resources that can be used to train troops and improve the city.
  • Build alliance flags and use them to occupy Alliance Resource Deposits inside the Alliance territory.

Alliance technology

Alliance technology is a series of technologies the alliance can unlock, giving all members useful buffs and boosts.

Alliance technologies should always be improved to keep progress going and make your alliance stronger.

The more donations that are made, the more effective alliance technologies become.

Here are the different types of technologies you can unlock and improve upon in your alliance:

War

War improves your powers in battle, more specifically the alliance members’ units – Siege, Infantry, Calvary, and Archers.

They attack, fight and defend the alliance against its enemies.

As they attack enemy cities, war units will enjoy boosts, including increased troop capacity, speed of assembly charge, and reduced rally time.

Territory

Territory refers to the space occupied by the alliance inside the map.

Alliance territory is usually marked by fortresses and flags.

A larger territory gives the alliance troops greater defenses, attack, and movement benefits.

Every alliance should prioritize Flag Quantity.

Flag Quantity is a technology used to maximize flag numbers your alliance can build, which helps expand alliance territory throughout the map.

This kind of technology improves the durability of all buildings built by alliance members while giving them the power to attack enemy buildings with an improved Speed of Incineration.

Development

These are technologies focused on improving the fundamentals of the alliance, such as:

  • Increasing construction speed.
  • Increasing research speed.
  • Increasing experience obtained in battles and against barbarians.
  • Increasing resource-gathering speed for gold, food, wood, stone.

Alliance skills

Once the alliance leader or officer activates alliance skills, the alliance can benefit from 6 unique skills.

Each of these skills affects all alliance members, giving them bonuses and improvements.

Alliance members must donate towards these unique skills each time they are to be used.

What are holy sites?

Holy sites are sacred structures that open up after every three days to give adjacent alliance territories an opportunity to attack them.

If an alliance takes control of a holy site during this period, they can occupy it for up to four hours.

Every member of the alliance will benefit from the bonuses acquired from capturing the holy site.

The buffs include increased gathering, research, and construction speed as well as attack and defense.

There are three types of holy sites that give buffs:

Altars

Alters are found in the first zone.

The altars can give the following buffs:

  • Storm: 5% increase in the training speed.
  • Wisdom: 5% increase in research speed.
  • Earth: 5% increase in building speed.
  • Flame: 3% increase in troop attack.
  • Surge: 5% increase in troop defense.

Shrines

Shrines are found in the second zone.

The shrines can give the following buffs:

  • War: 10% increase in training speed and 3% increase in troop attack.
  • Radiance: 20% increase in healing speed and action point recovery.
  • Honor: 5% increase in gathering speed and rallied army attack.
  • Order: 3% increase in troop health and troop defense.

Sanctums

Sanctums are found in the first zone.

The Sanctums can give the following buffs:

  • Wind: 5% increase in march speed.
  • Courage: 10% increase in commander experience gain.
  • Hope: 5% increase in gathering speed.
  • Blood: 2% increase in troop health.

Passes

Alliance members can use these kinds of holy sites to move from one location to another or use targeted teleports between two different locations as long as they are connected using the passes.

Lost Temple

These sites are very important. Once an alliance leader controlling the Lost Temple becomes King, he acquires supreme power over it.

How to change civilization

Maybe you’ve had enough of your civilization dragging behind the rest, or it doesn’t fit your playing style anymore.

Perhaps you are at a stage where the current civilization isn’t performing according to your needs or focus.

Luckily it is possible to change your civilization.

Actually, it’s recommended that you change your civilization later in the game if you’ve chosen one focused on the early game as your first civilization.

To change your civilization in Rise of Kingdoms, click the profile icon in the top left corner, click the change icon next to your current civilization on the profile window, choose the civilization you wish to change to, and click confirm.

You need to pay either the Civilization Change item or 10,000 Gems to change your civilization.

As soon as you upgrade City Hall to level 10, you will be rewarded with the Civilization Change item.

Another approach is to purchase the Civilization Change item with 2,000,000 Individual Credits.

This is one of the reasons why you should join a powerful alliance.

When you change your civilization, units that are exclusive to your current civilization will be converted into units exclusive to the chosen civilization.

Your current commanders will not change.

The architecture of your city will also be reconstructed to match the new civilization.

The perks of your city will, of course, change to the ones of the new civilization, which is in most cases the reason people change their civilization.

Best civilization in Rise of Kingdoms

If you have a preferred style of playing, then choosing the right civilization will be an important decision in Rise of Kingdoms.

Every civilization is unique in terms of its special units, starting commanders, style of architecture, and perks.

With the right civilization, you can align your strengths to the right playstyle and in-game combat.

There are a few civilizations in the game, and most can be used well in some aspect, but some just beat others.

Here is a short rundown on some of the best civilizations in the game.

China is the best civilization for new players.

Not only will you enjoy defensive and building speed buffs for your city, but you will also benefit from an expeditious style of playing.

The Chinese starting commander Sun Tzu is also very helpful for first-time players.

Britain is a good pick if you love ranged-style combat.

The archer attack buff in this civilization will be very useful in combat.

It’s best to have ranged archers as your allies and not as your enemies.

Boudica will help you farm barbarians and advance faster in the game.

Japan is strong in PvP and offers useful farming capabilities.

The scout aspect of Japan makes it great for exploring the map as well

France is a great civilization for building up a powerful infantry-based army.

The increased healing speed in France is also important for your end game because you will be in vicious combat.

The main focus is gathering resources and ally support which is perfect for infantry.

Germany is overall one of the best civilization picks in Rise of Kingdoms.

You will benefit from increased action point recovery speed and cavalry attack with this civilization, making it well equipped for battle through an offensive approach.

These were just some of the best civilizations in the game, be sure to check out our Rise of Kingdoms civilization tier list for more details on all civilizations.

Complete quests

Some of the side quests in Rise of Kingdoms give some gems as a reward.

As a beginner, you will be rewarded with more gems when you complete quests such as upgrading City Hall.

Main story quests may also reward you with a lot of gems.

When an upgrade unlocks a new era, you will acquire extra gems.

Every day, you will also get new missions to complete in the Dark Forest.

Every mission gets you a different reward, some of which include gems.

Make sure to do all the missions, and the gems will slowly stack up.

Complete the missions as soon as you can to get gems faster.

You will not get explicit information on how to link your Rise of Kingdoms account to Facebook and the resulting reward while playing the game.

Well, it’s worth noting that you will be rewarded with 200 gems as soon as you bind your account to Facebook.

Linking these two pages is also a security option.

Your account will always be recoverable, and you can also shift to Android or IOS as you wish.

Here’s how to link the two accounts:

  1. Click on the upper left corner of the screen where your profile picture is
  2. Click on settings.
  3. Tap on the Facebook icon.

Occasionally you may come across a “Like us on Facebook” event.

You can also get 200 extra gems by following Rise of Kingdoms on their social media under the Communities tab through the icon in the top right corner.

If you like this page, you will be rewarded with some extra gems.

Complete your daily goals

In addition to other valuable rewards, you will get 100 gems when you finally get to the last chest on your “Daily Objectives” tab.

Just collect 100 activity points to unlock the final daily quest chest that contains these 100 gems.

Mine gems

After playing for some time, you will unlock Jewelry research inside the Academy.

Once you do your research on Jewelry, you can mine gems around the map.

The gems may be scarce, but they are free, so be sure to take advantage of them.

You will need 20 minutes to fully gather 10 gems.

Whale alliance

A whale is a term for a player who spends a ton of money on a game.

A whale alliance is an alliance with several players that spend a ton of money on the game.

Getting into one of these is no easy task.

But you will receive gems every time someone buys a chest if you get into one.

The first occupation of an objective

When your alliance gets the first occupation of an objective in your kingdom, you receive a lot of rewards, including gems.

We, therefore, recommend that you actively participate in KVK and help out your alliance if it’s trying to get the occupation of a new objective.

Purchasing gems with money

The final way to get gems in the game is by purchasing them directly with money.

There are many different packs you can purchase that give gems.

New packs are often released as new updates or events are released.

That’s how to get gems in Rise of Kingdoms!

The current tier list is based on rankings of civilizations by Rise of Kingdoms YouTubers and the Rise of Kingdoms subreddit community.

The civilizations are ranked in tiers from S to C, with S being the highest and C the lowest.

You can change your civilization later, but getting one that helps you from the start is a big advantage.

If you are just starting out, check out the later parts of this guide for recommendations at earlier points in the game, as well as for specific objectives.

We will update this tier list as the meta evolves, the game is updated, or a new civilization is implemented.

Given the perks each civilization offer, some civilizations are better earlier on while others are better later on in the game. Therefore, it’s recommended that you change your civilization at some point.

In exchange for 10,000 Gems, you can use the Civilization Change feature to shift to a civilization that excels in a specific task or playing style or one that suits your status in the game.

With a specific strategy in mind, you can choose the perfect civilization that aligns with it.

For example, you should choose a civilization that is excellent at rallying if you are a rally leader in your alliance. The civilization you choose should boost your specialty if you excel in a certain activity.

Best starting civilization

The best civilization for new players of Rise of Kingdoms is China.

Led by commander Sun Tzu and improved troops, China’s defense capabilities are strong and compact.

As a starter, China will offer you great perks, especially in the beginning stages of the game where building up your city is crucial.

At this point in the game, you should focus exclusively on upgrading your City Hall.

Rise of Kingdoms China Civilization

Perks

China is the best civilization for starters because it offers a 5% increase in Building Speed Boosts.

Most of the powers you have will be coming from the buildings you make.

You can then use the power to rush to higher City Hall levels and increase your chances of getting into a powerful alliance.

You will also get 5% Action Point Recovery as you start.

With action point recovery, you can recover action points swiftly.

You can use them to excel in multiple events and boost your commanders faster.

At this pace, you can also hunt more barbarians because your playing style will shift to action-based combat.

China also boosts your Troop Defense by 3%.

This amazing trait applies to units such as siege, cavalry, infantry, and archers.

You will appreciate how useful this trait is as soon as you start building armies consisting of various troops.

Focus for China

  • Quickly build up your city – especially your City Hall
  • Focus on defense rather than offense while making your city powerful
  • At the start of the game, focus on building a strong city, not a strong attacking army

Commanders

Sun Tzu will boost your defense as a starting commander, but you will also meet other commanders such as:

  • Cao Cao.
  • Wu Zetian.
  • Guan Yu.

You can also use Sun Tzu’s active skills in PvP and field battles.

Special units

As soon as you unlock tier 4 troops, you will acquire two special units – Chu-Ko-Nu and Elite Chu-Ko-Nu.

These special units have a great balance of attack and defense stats.

They allow you to withstand powerful attacks and vigorous blows.

They help counter infantry rushes as well.

China is the ideal starter civilization because it offers the necessary building speed boosts and defensive boosts.

Starting out, you should focus on development and stay clear of open warfare, which is exactly what China allows you to do.

Best civilization for F2P

The best civilization for F2P (free-to-play) players of Rise of Kingdoms is Britain.

Britain is a civilization that proudly offers a mixture of defense and offense.

With Boudica as the starting commander, Britain boats immense power.

She is quite powerful when it comes to killing barbarians, which is why she levels up quickly.

In Britain, the archers are slightly stronger, and the units can be trained faster than in other civilizations.

Britain is an alliance-based civilization, a very important trait to have later in the game, as alliances are more likely to want you in their group.

Rise of Kingdoms Britain Civilization

Perks

Britain offers a 5% archer attack bonus.

This bonus works well when focusing on commanders that also boost the power of archer units.

By increasing archer attack by 5%, Britain becomes one of the best support civilizations in Rise of Kingdoms.

With a 20% increase in ally garrison capacity, you can accommodate a large number of allies in your city.

With more allies and a good defender, you will have a strong, powerful defense against incoming attacks.

Increased garrison capacity also makes you able to inflict a ton of damage, and more troops are a very powerful trait to have during alliance wars.

You need to be in a strong alliance to maximize this trait.

Within an alliance, you can help speed up the building of flags and alliance garrisons.

Troop training speed is increased by up to 5% in Britain.

Speed is critical when you start training your tier 4 and tier 5 units.

Later in the game, this perk will result in many hours of training saved.

The extra time saved can be used to train and establish other units.

Focus for Britain

  • You should always be training troops to maximize the benefits of your perk.
  • Use the fact that other alliance members benefit from your perks to get into a great alliance.
  • Focus on archer-boosting commanders. Expert archery commanders are deadly and are even more powerful with your perks.

Commanders

Your starting commander when choosing Britain is Boudica.

Later on, you will also get to acquire:

  • Lancelot.
  • Richard I.
  • Edward of Woodstock.

Special units

When you unlock tier 4 troops, the Longbowman will become available to you.

On advancing to tier 5 troops, you will also get access to the Elite Longbowman.

These two are special strong archer-type units.

They are some of the best attackers in Rise of Kingdoms, and they can deal with massive blows, and even more when paired with an archer-based commander and Britain’s perks.

Best civilization for farming

The best civilization in Rise of Kingdoms for farming is Japan.

If you’re looking for a solid civilization that offers good farming capabilities and a great starting commander with active, offensive troops, then look no further than Japan.

This civilization is focused on strategic development and tactical awareness.

The available bonuses empower players with strong map exploration abilities.

Players can identify critical zones that they can prey on, attack, or pillage.

With the exploration capabilities of Japan paired with its gather speed bonus, you can farm more efficiently than other civilizations in the game.

Rise of Kingdoms Japan Civilization

Perks

As you play, you will be interested in unlocking everything in your kingdom.

30% increase in scout march speed will help your scout move around the map faster.

Because of this significant scout marching speed, you don’t have to wait for your scouts as much, which allows you to discover more of your kingdom, including places to farm some extra resources.

Furthermore, when you discover the entire map of your kingdom, you get 10 golden keys as a reward.

You should consider working with gathering commanders because, in Japan, resource gathering speed is increased by 5%.

You will be able to gather all types of resources faster and speed up your expansion.

The pairing of a gathering-focused commander and this perk creates an amazing farming environment.

In this civilization, all your units will also benefit from a 3% increase in troop attack.

An increase in your troops’ attack is a useful bonus that benefits you in both fighting other players and farming barbarians.

Focus for Japan

  • Scout as much as possible. You will get 10 golden keys for free through the monument if when you’ve cleared the entire map in your kingdom of fog.
  • Use gathering-focused commanders. Having a gathering speed boost of 5% helps you gather stone, gold, food, wood, and gems. If you make use of gathering commanders, you can farm even more resources quickly.
  • Always have some farming running, be it gathering or attacking, and always have scouts out exploring if you haven’t discovered the entire map yet.

Commanders

Japan has one of the highest numbers of commanders in Rise of Kingdoms.

It has a total of five with Kusunoki Masashige as the starting commander.

Later you can also get:

  • Ishida Mitsunari.
  • Tomoe Gozen.
  • Takeda Shingen.
  • Minamoto No Ypshitune.

Special units

During the Feudal age, you will unlock the special unit Samurai, an infantry unit.

You can train him when you’ve got access to tier 4 troops using technological research.

You unlock the Elite Samurai upon getting access to tier 5 troops.

They launch powerful offensive attacks, which makes them some of the best attackers in the game.

Japan is an exciting civilization to play in Rise of Kingdoms as it allows you to make strategic setups and discover the map quicker than others.

Best civilization for infantry

The best civilization for infantry in Rise of Kingdoms is France.

It features some of the strongest infantry units in the game and perks to boost them further.

Joan of Arc is the starting commander, and she will help you in your development.

With increased healing speed, you can get your army back to speed quicker than others, which is beneficial late-game.

Joan of Arc has gathering bonuses that allow you to build faster and thus advance at a quicker pace.

Rise of Kingdoms France Civilization

Perks

You are going to face hard battles later on in the game.

With a 20% increase in the hospital healing speed, your units have a faster recovery and can get back to the battlefield sooner.

If you focus further on your hospital healing speed, you can build a strong setup where you can dish out many units throughout a prolonged battle.

France increases wood gathering speed by up to 10% – another useful buff for upgrading your city.

Archers, infantry, and calvary will all enjoy a 3% health bonus.

This trait is critical on the battlefield.

Pair this perk with a commander that boosts infantry units and the special units of France, and you have a powerful combo.

Focus for France

  • Build up a powerful army with infantry and an infantry-focused commander.
  • Use the quick unit turnaround to keep bringing units to prolonged battles.
  • Take advantage of the wood gathering buff France has to get your farming going.

Commanders

The starting commander of France is Joan of Arc.

You can also get the following later on:

  • Charlemagne.
  • Charles Martel.

Special units

You will meet the Throwing Axeman and the Elite Throwing Axeman, two special units, during tier 4 unit training.

They both have good health stats and attacks.

They can take in strong blows, mobilize quickly throughout the map and deal a lot of damage.

Best civilization for cavalry

The best civilization for cavalry in Rise of Kingdoms is Germany.

Germany offers you more action point recovery compared to other civilizations and is very focused on calvary.

The increased troop training speed will be a helpful trait later on in the game.

With the 10% increase in action point recovery, you can quickly build up a powerful army.

Germany is a versatile civilization that is perfect for doing well in battles, progressing through the game at a quick pace, and leveling up commanders fast.

Herman will be your starting commander, and together with horsemen, he will protect the city at all costs.

Germany gives players an advantage in growing and building armies.

It is important to note that with Germany, your playstyle should be more focused on attacking rather than defending.

Rise of Kingdoms Germany Civilization

Perks

With a 10% increase in extra point recovery, you will be in a better position to participate in anything that involves action points.

You can, for example, take advantage of barbarian camps using your extra point recovery and acquire more resources and experience, as you don’t need to spend long hours training your troops.

With a 5% increase in troop training speed, all your units can be trained swiftly.

You will enjoy this bonus throughout the ages as a member of Germany.

Training tier 5 units is usually quite time-consuming, making this boost very beneficial.

To optimize your power, we recommend finding commanders such as Attila or Shingen who synergize well with the 5% cavalry attack bonus Germany gives.

Rise of Kingdoms has multiple playing styles, but if you are looking to throw some money at the game, then Germany is definitely one of the best choices.

All in all, Germany is a well-rounded civilization that does very well offensively throughout the game, and especially late-game.

Focus for Germany

  • Take advantage of the training speed bonus. You have to keep training troops to stay ahead of your competitors. The bonus becomes even more helpful as you start the training of tier 4 and tier 5 troops.
  • Focus on cavalry-boosting commanders. You already have a 5% attack boost for cavalry, so pairing it with a commander that further boosts them can result in an incredibly powerful cavalry-based army.
  • Your playstyle should be offense-oriented when playing as Germany. Its perks enable you to create powerful armies quickly.

Commanders

Herman is the starting commander of Germany.

He excels in silencing enemy commanders.

Later, you can also get:

  • Constance.
  • Frederick I.

Special units

The two special units of Germany are Teutonic Knight and Elite Teutonic Knight.

They both become available for training upon unlocking tier 4 units.

They focus on mobility and attack.

Being large units on the tankier side, they can also take heavy blows without being too harmed.

They can easily clear enemy archers too.

This unit’s defense is better than that of original knights and have a stronger attack.

Rise of Kingdoms – City Hall Guide: Upgrade Requirements & Rewards https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-city-hall-guide-upgrade-requirements-rewards/ https://gamerempire.net/rise-of-kingdoms-city-hall-guide-upgrade-requirements-rewards/#respond Thu, 08 Apr 2021 20:03:13 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=16609 The City Hall is the main building of your city that determines what other buildings you can build.

Your entire civilization depends on it, which is why you should prioritize upgrading it.

When you upgrade your City Hall, you unlock access to new buildings and higher levels of existing buildings.

The further into the game you make it, the more resources and time it will require to upgrade your City Hall.

In this guide, we give you all the information you need to know about the City Hall in Rise of Kingdoms.

Table of contents

What is the City Hall

The City Hall is a magnificent landmark and the most important building in your city in Rise of Kingdoms.

It is the foundation on which all the other buildings hang.

Overall, it keeps a watchful eye on the development of troops, technological research, construction of buildings, the gathering of resources, and everything else.

Before you improve on anything else in your city, you must upgrade your City Hall first.

That’s because it determines the maximum level of all the other buildings in your city.

No other building level in the city can be higher than that of the City Hall.

The City hall determines the upper limit for technological research, the number of troops that can be taken into the hospital, the number of troops that can be controlled by the commanders, and the dispatches that can be sent out.

Furthermore, some buildings in the game require you to have your City Hall at a specific level before they can be built.

Why you should upgrade your City Hall

Given the many benefits of upgrading your City Hall, we recommend you seek to get your City Hall’s level up quickly.

Just some of the benefits of upgrading your City Hall include;

  • Access to new buildings and higher levels of existing buildings.
  • Technological advancement.
  • Rewards from City Hall upgrades.
  • Expansion of your hospital.
  • Higher troop capacity – each commander will have more troops to help fight barbarians, gather resources, and fight enemy troops.
  • More dispatches because of higher troop capacity, which results in faster work, more resources, and progress.

Throughout the game, you should, of course, also upgrade other buildings and construct new ones, but the City Hall should definitely be your main focus.

Rewards from each City Hall level
