The best Heavy weapon in Destiny 2 is Gjallarhorn, followed by Apex Predator and Doomed Petitioner.

Table of Contents

Best Heavy Weapons in Destiny 2

Heavy weapons make up some of the most powerful weapons in Destiny 2 and are often the go-to for the best ad-clearing and DPS. If you are looking for the best of the best, this list covers them all.

Whether you are an end-game PvE player looking for the highest DPS weapon possible or a new player looking for an easily obtainable weapon that will get them through much of the early game, this list is for you.

Our first choice may come as no surprise to the average player.

Gjallarhorn

The one Rocket Launcher to rule them all.

Rocket Launchers have been the meta of Heavy DPS weapons for a while now. This is partly due to the effectiveness of Gjallarhorn.

It comes with the Intrinsic Perk Wolfpack Round, causing rockets to split off into tracking cluster missiles upon impact, dealing additional damage on top of the initial rocket explosion.

This is a very potent Perk that drastically increases the damage output of this weapon, making it a very decent choice for solo use as well.

But you most likely won’t be the one topping the damage chart of your Fireteam using this weapon, as you shouldn’t be. What makes Gjallarhorn so good is the inclusion of the Pack Hunter Perk.

This Perk grants you increased Handling and reload speed when standing near your Fireteam members.

Additionally, firing this weapon will grant the Wolfpack Rounds Perk to any nearby Fireteam members who are currently wielding a non-Exotic Rocket Launcher.

Much like the Divinity Exotic Trace Rifle, Gjallarhorn plays an important support role for your Fireteam.

Granting Wolfpack Rounds to all of your Fireteam members effectively increases their DPS by about 50%, making Rocket Launchers a must-use weapon for many Boss encounters for the most optimal damage.

The Catalyst for Gjallarhorn will grant it the More Wolves Perk, increasing its magazine size by one and causing Wolfpack Round final blows to spawn additional, smaller missiles that seek out nearby enemies.

While the extra ad-clearing potential is great, the two-round magazine is huge for this weapon’s overall DPS.

You can get Gjallarhorn from the And Out Fly the Wolves Exotic Quest. This Quest is part of the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack.

Apex Predator

The Legendary Rocket Launcher of choice.

Apex Predator is a Legendary Adaptive Frame Solar Rocket Launcher. Ever since its Season 21 refresh, Apex Predator has found its way to the top of the DPS charts as far as Rocket Launchers are concerned.

It is carried by its extensive Perk pool, giving players the choice of many different rolls depending on the type of activity they are facing. This type of adaptability isn’t found on a lot of weapons, especially Heavy weapons.

For many, the god roll of choice is going to be Reconstruction with Bait and Switch, a very devastating combo for dealing as much damage as possible within the Bait and Switch window.

Reconstruction is simply a better Auto-Loading Holster as it can overflow the magazine, allowing you to fire off multiple rounds before swapping off and waiting for a free reload.

Along with these two top-tier Perks, Apex Predator can roll with Demolitionist, Vorpal Weapon, Bipod, and Explosive Light, giving you plenty of chances at receiving a good roll regardless of the Perk combination. Luckily, this weapon is craftable as well.

Apex Predator drops from the Last Wish Raid. Wait until Last Wish is the Featured Raid to begin farming for enough red-boarder variants to unlock the crafting pattern for Apex Predator.

Thunderlord

Simply the best Machine Gun there is.

Thunderlord is an Exotic Arc Machine Gun that excels at just about everything. It is an excellent ad-clearing weapon, as Machine Guns should be, and can be a very decent DPS option when needed.

It comes with the Intrinsic Perk Reign Havoc, causing final blows to create lightning strikes that deal area-of-effect damage to any enemies near your target. This lightning damage is also strong against Overload Champions and is able to stun them.

The Perk Lightning Rounds make Thunderlord more accurate the longer you hold down the trigger. Continuously damaging the same target will also create lightning strikes similar to Reign Havoc.

Finally, Feeding Frenzy just makes it much easier to keep this weapon reloaded. All of this makes for quite the beast of a weapon, with insane ad-clearing potential thanks to the constant lightning strikes.

You may notice that Thunderlord doesn’t do an insane amount of damage to Major enemies and Bosses at first. That is where its Catalyst comes in.

The Thunderlord Catalyst adds the Return Stroke Perk to the weapon, partially reloading the weapon every time a lightning strike is created. This Perk will trigger whether you earn a final blow or deal sustained damage to an enemy.

The Catalyst effectively eliminates the need to ever reload Thunderlord, giving you all the time in the world to keep mowing down Minor enemies or empty your entire ammo reserve into a Boss enemy.

Thunderlord can be obtained from any Exotic Engram. See our guide on How to Farm Exotics to unlock Thunderlord soon.

Cataphract GL3

A unicorn of a weapon.

Cataphract GL3 is a Legendary Adaptive Frame Strand Grenade Launcher. Out of any GRenade Launcher in the game, it has one of the most stacked Perk pools.

The god roll that many PvE players are after is Evnious Assassin with Bait and Switch. This Perk combination is the dream roll for just about any DPS weapon and is perfect for a Grenade Launcher as you can empty your entire magazine before within the Bait and Switch window.

Along with these Perks, Cataphract GL3 can drop with Auto-Loading Holster, Demolitionist, and Explosive Light. All great backup Perks in case you can’t find the ideal god-roll.

PvP players have also taken to using Cataphract GL3 as their Heavy weapon of choice, as it can roll with Impulse Amplifier for massively increased projectile velocity and Chain Chain Reaction, causing final blows to deal additional area-of-effect damage.

This is a strong combo of Perks that can net you multiple kills with a single shot. Inside of the Crucible, where every Heavy ammo shot counts, a weapon like this is ideal.

The only downside to the Cataphract GL3 is that it can only be obtained from Trials of Osiris. You will have to wait until it is the weekly Flawless weapon before getting a Flawless Passage to the Lighthouse to obtain one.

Once you do have the weapon unlocked, you can farm additional rolls from Trials of Osiris Engrams. There is also the option of trading multiple Engrams in to focus a Cataphract GL3.

Doomed Petitioner

The new best Linear Fusion Rifle.

Doomed Petitioner is a Legendary Aggressive Frame Void Linear Fusion Rifle that has all of the makings to be the perfect weapon. It was recently added to the game with the release of the Season of the Wish.

Linear Fusion Rifles have been some of the best DPS weapons inside of PvE for a while, with Cataclysmic and Taipan-4FR both holding their own.

Doomed Petitioner finally gives us everything we need from a Linear Fusion Rifle.

It rolls with the top-tier Perk Reconstruction to overflow the magazine and reload the weapon when not in use. Rather than Bait and Switch, Doomed Petitioner rolls with Precision Instrument as its damage-enhancing Perk.

This Perk grants a stacking increase to precision damage the longer you sustain damage on a target. With maximum stacks, you are receiving a 25% damage increase that will remain in place until you miss a shot.

It is important to remember that this is an Aggressive Frame weapon, meaning it fires in a three-burst round.

Every shot inside of this burst will add a stack of Precision Instrument, allowing you to gain all six stacks in only two shots from Doomed Petitioner.

For Boss encounters that take place from afar where precision is key, Doomed Petitioner should be your Heavy weapon of choice. It is also a great option for solo content such as Legendary Lost Sectors.

Doomed Petitioner drops from any Season if the Wish activity or Engram. It is craftable, so be sure to unlock the crafting pattern while it is still easy to obtain.

The Lament

The best general-use Sword in the game.

The Lament is an Exotic Solar Sword that has been a top-tier weapon inside of PvE ever since its release with the Beyond Light Expansion. It does everything you want a Sword to do and more.

It comes with the Intrinsic Perk Banshee’s Wail. Blocking with The Lament will rev the blade, increasing damage and damage resistance while gaining stacks with every following attack that further increases your damage.

Using your Heavy attack will consume all Banshee’s Wail stacks to enhance your Heavy attack for a massive hit. One of the most optimal combos uses three Light attacks after blocking to get maximum stacks before using your Heavy attack to shred Bosses in close-quarters encounters.

The Revved Consumption Perk also grants you health every time you deal damage with The Lament. This makes it a great choice for both DPS and ad-clearing, as you can run into groups of enemies without fear, knowing you will regain health rapidly.

The Lament does a lot of damage and earns points for being a versatile weapon. While a god-roll Bequest Sword will technically deal more DPS than The Lament, the ease of use and survivability that The Lament offers can’t be overlooked.

The Lament is obtained from the Lost Lament Exotic Quest. You will need to own the Beyond Light Expansion to unlock it.

Crux Termination IV

A new Rocket Launcher with a very unique set of skills.

Crux Termination IV is a Legendary Agressive Frame Arc Rocket Launcher introduced in Season of the Wish. It was quickly picked up by the community after seeing the Perks that it can roll.

First off, Crux Termination IV has a plethora of amazing Perks to choose from, with Reconstruction, Clown Cartridge, and Envious Assassin all in the same column, along with Explosive Light, Bipod, and Demolitionist in the other column.

What sets Crux Termination IV apart from other Rocket Launchers with similar Perks is the fact that it is one of the only Rocket Launchers that can roll with Slideshot, a Perk that reloads your weapon whenever you slide.

Cheating reloads is the one thing that a player wants for their Rocket Launcher and Slideshot has a 0.3-second cooldown, allowing you to continuously fire off your rocket, slide, fire, and repeat until the magazine is empty.

There are many cases where Slideshot beats out the traditional magazine-enhancing Perks to give you a higher overall DPS, especially when solo.

When in the context of a Fireteam, it can be difficult to use when you have six Guardians standing inside of a Well of Radiance sliding in front of each other, potentially causing accidents.

For Dungeons, low man Raids, and Solo Legendary Lost Sectors, Crux Termination IV is a great pick that you should definitely consider. Even without Slideshot, this weapon only has six Perks per column, making it incredibly easy to find a god-roll.

Crux Termination IV is a world drop weapon that can be obtained from any Legendary Engram or rank-up reward.

These are the best Heavy weapons in Destiny 2. You should have plenty of great options in this list for any type of activity you choose to run.

Destiny 2 – Do Dungeons Have Checkpoints? https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-do-dungeons-have-checkpoints/ https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-do-dungeons-have-checkpoints/#respond Wed, 21 Feb 2024 15:25:23 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=64233 There are a lot of activities to do in Destiny 2. Some players don’t have enough time to complete every activity they begin. This is where checkpoints come in.

If you are curious as to whether or not Dungeons in Destiny 2 have checkpoints, this is the guide for you.

Yes, Dungeons in Destiny 2 have checkpoints similar to Raids and campaign missions that save your progress when you leave the activity.

Table of Contents

Do Dungeons Have Checkpoints in Destiny 2?

Dungeons are one of the many end-game activities available in Destiny 2. They follow a similar structure to Raids, with multiple Boss encounters and puzzle sections that players have to navigate together.

While Raids are designed for a full Fireteam of six players to participate, Dungeons are designed for a smaller Fireteam. The maximum amount of players that can join a single Dungeon is three.

As with Raids, Dungeons can be extremely difficult, especially if you are running one for the first time. Luckily, there are checkpoints inside of Dungeons.

These checkpoints function exactly the same as checkpoints for Raids and campaign missions.

Players will receive a checkpoint every time they enter into a new section of the Dungeon. Whenever all members of the Fireteam die, they will be sent back to their previous checkpoint.

While this makes sense inside of the Dungeon, many players are confused about what happens if you leave the Dungeon without completing it. They want to know, do dungeons save progress?

The answer is yes. Dungeons will save your previous checkpoint and allow you to load back into it whenever you launch the Dungeon from your Directory again.

Note that only your checkpoint progress is saved. Your actual progress within that checkpoint will be reset back to the beginning of the checkpoint.

This is still a very, very convenient feature for players who don’t have enough time to fully complete a Dungeon run in one sitting. They can simply go back to Orbit and load back in later to continue where they left off.

The game will notify you if you have a checkpoint saved for any Dungeon, Raid, or campaign mission.

When launching the activity from your Directory, there will be a little symbol to the left of the Launch button indicating your checkpoint.

If you wish to start the activity over from the beginning, you can delete your checkpoint by hovering over this symbol and interacting with it.

This is useful for players who are trying to complete a flawless Raid or Dungeon, where they do not die a single time during the activity. Should they mess up and die once, they will need to reset their checkpoint to begin the flawless run over again.

Checkpoints can be given to other players as well, allowing them to skip encounters and start their activity where they want. This is very useful for farming certain encounters for specific drops.

To get a Dungeon checkpoint from another player, join their Fireteam and have them start the Dungeon from their checkpoint.

After loading in, begin the encounter and wipe. Once you spawn back in, the checkpoint will be saved to your character.

You can now leave that player’s Fireteam and you will keep the checkpoint to use whenever you wish. Keep in mind that checkpoints for Raids, Dungeons, and campaign missions only remain active until the next Weekly Reset.

Now you are ready to take on any Dungeon in Destiny 2 without fear of losing your progress!

Are you planning on running your first Dungeon soon? Feel free to leave any Dungeon-related questions in the comments!

Destiny 2 – How to Increase Light Level https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-how-to-increase-light-level/ https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-how-to-increase-light-level/#respond Wed, 21 Feb 2024 08:07:52 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=64248 Increasing your Light Level is the number one priority for every new player in Destiny 2. Knowing how to do so efficiently will make your time in the game much more enjoyable.

In this guide, we go over the different ways you can increase your Light Level, as well as what your Light Level does for you in-game.

To increase your Light Level in Destiny 2, complete activities that reward Powerful Gear or Pinnacle Gear. Increasing your Seasonal Artifact Level will also increase your maximum Light Level.

Table of Contents

How to Increase Light Level in Destiny 2

Your Light Level, also known as your Power Level, is similar to the gear score from traditional MMO games. It displays your average Power Level for the gear that you currently have equipped.

Your Light Level determines how powerful your character is, increasing your damage output and damage resistance. It is important to try and maintain as high of a Light Level as possible in Destiny 2.

There are two ways you can increase your Light Level. You will need to either equip gear that is a higher Power Level than your current gear or level up your Seasonal Artifact.

When you begin the game at Light Level 1600, any piece of gear that you find will raise your Light Level. It doesn’t matter if it is Common, Rare, Legendary, or Exotic, everything will drop at a higher Light Level than your current gear set.

This will remain true until you reach Light Level 1750, also known as the Soft Cap. From here on out, you can’t rely on just any type of gear to raise your Light Level.

To speed up the process of hitting the 1750 Light Level cap, you can complete the Lightfall Campaign. Doing so will reward you with a complete set of 1770 Light Level gear to jumpstart your leveling experience.

To get higher Power Level gear that will get you past the Soft Cap, you will need to complete activities that reward you with Powerful Gear. Powerful Gear is capable of increasing your Power Level up to 1800.

Every piece of Powerful Gear you obtain will drop at anywhere between a +3 to a +5 Power Level higher than your current Light Level. The Power Level of the gear dropped will depend on what Tier the reward is, with Tier I being the lowest and Tier III being the highest reward possible for Powerful Gear.

Powerful Gear is rewarded for many weekly activities in Destiny 2. Tower Vendors, playlist activities, and Seasonal activities all reward you with Powerful Gear.

Eventually, you will reach the Power Cap. This is the point where Powerful Gear will no longer increase your Light Level.

The current Power Cap is set to 1800. After reaching the Power Cap, you will need to rely on Pinnacle Gear to raise your Light Level to the Pinnacle Cap of 1810.

Every piece of Pinnacle Gear will potentially increase your Light Level by +1. This is meant to be the end-game grind that will take significantly longer than reaching the Power Cap.

To reach the Pinnacle Cap, the maximum Light Level possible with gear, you will need to complete end-game activities such as Raids, Dungeons, Nightfalls, Trials of Osiris, and Seasonal activities for Pinnacle Gear rewards. Note that not every piece of Pinnacle gear you receive will be an upgrade to your Light Level.

If you happen to get unlucky, you can get Pinnacle gear drops that are the same Light Level as your current gear. Remember that your Light Level is determined by the average Light Level of all of your gear.

If you have one piece of gear that is a few Light Levels higher or lower than the rest of your gear, it can sway your average and affect your Pinnacle drops. It is important to try and make sure that all of your gear is as close to the same Light Level as possible before obtaining any Pinnacle drops as this will maximize your chances of actually receiving an upgrade.

You can learn more about how to reach the maximum Light Level fast in our Leveling Guide. It goes in-depth on all of the ways you can increase your Light Level as well as the most efficient methods for reaching the Pinnacle Cap.

It is also important to remember that you can Infuse your gear to increase its Light Level and keep it relevant. This can be done by consuming an Upgrade Module and a piece of gear that is a higher Light Level than your current gear.

Along with gear affecting your Light Level, your Seasonal Artifact level will also increase your total Light Level, though in a different way. Your Seasonal Artifact gains levels strictly through XP.

Increasing your Seasonal Artifact’s level will unlock access to additional Seasonal Perks while also increasing your maximum Light Level by 1. This increase is not taken into account for gear drops, meaning the Season Artifact will not help you reach the Powerful or Pinnacle Cap any sooner than you normally would.

While this Seasonal Artifact bonus doesn’t affect your gear, it does still increase your damage output and damage resistance. This bonus won’t come into play in most of the casual activities you play, as many of them contain some sort of Light Level cap.

This bonus is only really necessary for the absolute end-game activities such as Grandmaster Nightfalls, as these activities have a much higher Light Level Cap that isn’t obtainable through Pinnacle Gear alone.

You can learn more about how the Seasonal Artifact works as well as how to level it up in our guide on How to Get Seasonal Artifact.

Now you are ready to go and increase your Light Level. We wish you luck in your Pinnacle Gear drops!

Is there any aspect of your Light Level that still confuses you? Feel free to let me know by leaving a comment!

To visit the Queen’s Court in Destiny 2, acquire an Offering to the Oracle from Petra Venj before heading to the Oracle Engine to open the portal to the Queen’s Court.

Table of Contents

How to Visit the Queen’s Court in Destiny 2

Back when Forsaken was initially launched, the Dreaming City was the location to be in for weekly story updates and new missions.

Players would get a nice lore update every time they visited Mara Sov inside of the Queen’s Court.

Getting there was the tricky part, however. The door to the Queen’s Court was not active every week.

The Dreaming City is cursed, with Taken energy spreading through the area. Every week this energy would grow and infect more of the Dreaming City.

This curse operates on a repeating three-week cycle, with the final weak seeing the curse at its strongest before resetting back to normal. It is during this final week of the cycle that you are allowed attendance at the Queen’s Court.

Before making the journey to see the Queen, you will need an Offering to the Oracle in order to open the portal. This Offering is obtained from the Gateway Between Worlds Weekly Bounty from Petra Venj.

The Bounty can be obtained from Petra Venj during any week of the curse cycle. To complete the Bounty, you will need to complete Blind Well runs.

Higher Tiers of Blind Well completions will grant more progress toward your Bounty. You can purchase Tier III Charges of Light from Petra Venj to upgrade the Tier of the Blind Well activity.

Head to the Blind Well and after a few high-tier completions, you should have your Bounty ready to be turned in. You will want to hold onto your Bounty until it is the third week of the curse cycle.

A good indicator of this is to check your Map and see which of the three areas Petra Venj is currently located in. You will know that the curse is at its strongest when Petra is in Rheasilvia.

Any time during this week, you can turn in your Bounty to obtain the Offering to the Oracle. You are now ready to visit the Queen’s Court.

To get to the Queen’s Court, load into the Divalian Mists Landing Zone and head north until you find a fork in the road. The right path will lead towards Rheasilvia, while the left path leads to the Spine of Keres.

Take the left path and continue forward until you enter the large tower containing the Oracle Engine. Go up the winding stairs to get to the second platform the juts into the center of the tower.

Here, you will find the interactable Oracle, along with a Techeun alerting you that the Queen is no longer present in her court. Present your offering to the Oracle, and a chest will appear in front of you.

This chest is available regardless of what week you present your offering. If you present it on the third week of the curse cycle, the Oracle Engine will rotate and create a stepping stone for you towards the center where a portal opens up.

Stepping into this portal will teleport you into the Queen’s Court. Here, you will receive an additional chest.

While this process was necessary to forward your story missions during the Forsaken release, there are fewer reasons to be visiting the Queen’s Court today.

The main reason to go to the Queen’s Court now is to complete Triumphs. The Truth to Power Triumph was required to unlock the Chronicler Title, which is now vaulted.

There are other Triumphs that require you to visit this area. These are, of course, optional and only meant for players who are attempting to fill out their Triumph score.

There is a hidden Ahamkara Bone inside of the Queen’s Court that you can get to after a little jumping puzzle. Other than this, there is no mandatory reason to return to the Queen’s Court just yet.

This is how you get into the Queen’s Court. The process is long and not nearly worth the effort today.

Why do you want to visit the Queen’s Court? Let me know in the comments!

To calibrate your weapons in Destiny 2, use the specified weapon type to get final blows on enemies.

How to Calibrate Weapons in Destiny 2

While going about your business in the Tower, you may have noticed a Bounty that requires you to calibrate a specific weapon type.

This type of Bounty can be very confusing to newer players who don’t know what it means to calibrate your weapons.

To calibrate a weapon, all you need to do is get final blows using that specific weapon archetype. For example, to calibrate an Auto Rifle, you will need to kill a certain number of enemies using Auto Rifles.

The amount of final blows needed to complete the Bounty will vary between different weapon archetypes. You will also have a chance to gain additional calibration progress for final blows against Guardians.

This means that any kills inside of the Crucible will grant you additional progress towards completing your Bounty. This also applies to Guardians killed while invading during Gambit matches.

Each type of weapon calibration Bounty will also give you a chance at obtaining bonus progressions for the type of kills you get with your weapon.

Sticking to the Auto Rifle example, you would get a bonus for every precision final blow you get with an Auto Rifle, granting you even more progress for precision kills.

You will notice that weapon calibration Bounties are strictly sold by Banshee-44. These types of Bounties can not be sold by any other vendor in the Tower.

Weapon calibration Bounties are part of Banshee-44’s Daily Bounty rotation. Completing a weapon calibration Bounty will reward you with Enhancement Cores, XP, and Gunsmith Reputation progress.

These Bounties are a great way to level up your Reputation Rank with Banshee-44. Just like the Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit vendors, the Gunsmith will reward you with Rank Milestones.

Reaching the final Rank Milestone will allow you to reset your Reputation Rank to start over again. Doing so will also reward you with an Ascendant Shard.

To learn more about how Bounties work, how to turn in Bounties, and Reputation Ranks, check out our guide here. We go over all of the basics for new and returning players.

The Gunsmith also has advanced weapon calibration Bounties available. These Bounties are repeatable and require players to get a certain amount of kills in a single life using the specified weapon archetype.

Dying before reaching your kill goal will reset your progress on the Bounty. Advanced weapon calibration Bounties only reward players with a small amount of XP.

While these Bounties are hardly worth pursuing alone, they can add up quickly and help you level up your Artifact Level.

It never hurts to pick up as many Repeatable Bounties as you can hold whenever you visit Banshee-44, as you will more than likely complete a few without even trying.

Now you know what weapon calibration is! It is a lot more simple than the name implies.

Are you trying to level up your Reputation Rank with Banshee-44? What rewards are you hoping to get from him? Let me know in the comments!

Destiny 2 – How to Get Commemoration https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-how-to-get-commemoration/ https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-how-to-get-commemoration/#respond Sat, 17 Feb 2024 08:46:59 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=63931 If you are unlucky enough to not have a Commemoration drop for you yet in Destiny 2, then it may be time to reconsider your farming methods.

In this guide, we will go over some of the best ways to get Commemoration as well as what rolls you will want on it.

To get Commemoration in Destiny 2, complete the final encounter of the Deep Stone Crypt Raid.

Table of Contents

How to Get Commemoration in Destiny 2

Commemoration is one of the community’s favorite weapons. After players saw the Perks that can roll on this weapon, they were very eager to get their hands on a god roll.

Sadly, this weapon is not the easiest to farm. This is often the case with Raid drops.

Commemoration can only be obtained by completing the Deep Stone Crypt Raid. Many amazing weapons come from this Raid, including the Succession Sniper Rifle, the Bequest Sword, the Trustee Scout Rifle, and the Heritage Precision Shotgun.

This many great weapons do make the Raid much more appealing to farm, which is good considering you may be running the Raid quite a few times before getting Commemoration to drop.

You may find some god rolls for other weapons that you will surely use later on.

It is worth mentioning that Commemoration only drops from the final encounter of the Deep Stone Crypt Raid. This is both a blessing and a curse.

While this does mean that you won’t have as many chances during the Raid for Commemoration to drop, it also means that you actually do not need to complete the entire Raid before knowing if you will get the weapon you want or not.

Players can skip directly to the final Boss if all they are after is Commemoration. This is by far the fastest method of getting Commemoration to drop.

All you have to do is find someone with a final Boss checkpoint and have them give it to you. The process for this is simple.

Join the player inside of the Raid with the final Boss checkpoint. Begin the encounter, wipe, and wait for everyone to spawn back in.

The Boss checkpoint will now be saved to your character as well as anyone else inside of the Raid, meaning you can now leave and get a Fireteam together to take out the Boss without having to complete any encounters beforehand.

You will want to make sure you keep this checkpoint on one of your characters and farm the checkpoint on another. Otherwise, you will need to find yet another player with the final Boss checkpoint and repeat the process.

Begin the Raid with your character that has the checkpoint and wait until everyone in the Fireteam has loaded into the encounter.

Once in, swap characters to the one that you will be farming the checkpoint on and join back into the Raid where your Fireteam is waiting. You can now complete the encounter while maintaining the checkpoint on a separate character.

Repeat this process as many times as you can to get all of your weekly drops out of the way. Much faster than completing three Raids in their entirety.

Note that, just like any other Raid, Deep Stone Crypt encounters will only reward players with one loot drop per character per week, giving you a maximum of three chances to obtain Commemoration every week from the final encounter. The exception to this rule comes with Featured Raids.

Every week, Destiny 2 will feature a specific Raid and Dungeon, removing the loot cap and allowing players to continually farm them for loot drops throughout the week.

If you want to make the most out of your time, wait until Deep Stone Crypt is the Featured Raid before using the checkpoint farming method until you get a Commemoration to drop.

After you unlock your very first Commemoration, you will be able to purchase additional rolls from the final chest of the Deep Stone Crypt Raid using your Spoils of Conquest. This currency is gained after every Raid encounter completion.

For many players, the goal is to get five red-boarder variants of Commemoration and unlock its crafting pattern. To do this, you will need more than just a single drop.

There are two secret chests inside of the Deep Stone Crypt Raid. Both chests are capable of dropping any piece of loot that you have already unlocked from the Raid.

After unlocking Commemoration, you can potentially get two additional drops every week from these secret chests. The first chest can be found just after the opening sparrow sequence on top of a large rock.

The second is hidden in the space platforming section. It will be on a small platform off to the right of your initial path.

Is Commemoration Worth It?

If you need a heavy weapon that is great at both ad-clearing and damage dealing, Commemoration may be for you. This Legendary Adaptive Frame Void Machine Gun comes with the insane Perk Reconstruction.

This Perk steadily reloads your magazine when not firing the gun, meaning it will always be fully loaded when you need it.

On top of this, it can overflow the magazine to twice the normal capacity, giving you more than enough ammo for most scenarios.

For ad-clearing, you have Dragonfly to take out more enemies with fewer bullets. For damage, you have either Rampage or Firing Line, depending on the situation.

Most players will choose Rampage for a general-use damage buff. You also have the option of using Unrelenting for more survivability and extra health regeneration.

This amount of versatility is rarely found in a Power weapon. Commemoration being a craftable weapon makes it all the better, as there are plenty of god-rolls that players can try out.

Now you are ready to begin farming for your first Commemoration. I wish you luck on your Raid drops!

What rolls are you looking to get on your Commemoration? Let me know your personal god roll in the comments!

Destiny 2 – Best Place to Farm Kills https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-best-place-to-farm-kills/ https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-best-place-to-farm-kills/#respond Sat, 17 Feb 2024 08:31:08 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=64000 Getting a lot of kills in Destiny 2 takes time. Having a good method for farming kills is crucial to speeding up the process.

Today, we have a list of the best farming methods you can use to get your objectives done in a reasonable time.

The best place to farm kills in Destiny 2 is the Breakneck Mission from the Lightfall campaign.

Table of Contents

Best Place to Farm Kills in Destiny 2

From Catalyst completions to daily Bounties and crafted weapon leveling, there are a lot of reasons you will need a good, consistent spot for farming kills in Destiny 2.

While you can complete these objectives passively throughout your play sessions, it will take quite some time without a dedicated farming spot.

Veteran players may remember the good old days of the Loot Cave, new players will want to take a look at one of these farming spots on this list if they are to complete their challenges and Quests as quickly as possible.

To pick the right spot for you, consider the setup time it takes to get to the spot, the types of enemies in the spot, as well as what kind of ammo you will need during your kill farm.

Shuro Chi

Raids have always been a great choice for farming kills, as you can count on hoards of enemies spawning as soon as the encounter begins. Since the release of the Last Wish Raid, the community has taken to Shuro Chi for all of their farming needs.

Shuro Chi is the Boss of the second encounter in the Last Wish Raid. What makes this encounter great is the raw amount of Thralls that spawn immediately after the doors open to the encounter.

Players can expect upwards of 80 enemies to spawn during their time in this encounter before they inevitably wipe and start all over for another round of farming.

There are a few Knights, though the majority of enemies you will find are simple Minor Thralls.

The best part about using a Raid checkpoint as your kill farming method is the fact that you have access to Raid Banners, granting you a refresh to Special ammo, Heavy ammo, and all of your abilities before the encounter begins. This is necessary if you plan on farming kills with anything other than your Primary weapon.

You can purchase Raid Banners in bulk from Soraya Hawthorne in the Tower for pretty cheap. From there, all you need is a checkpoint to the Shuro Chi encounter, and you can begin farming kills.

To get to the checkpoint, you would normally need a Fireteam to help you complete the first encounter of the Raid. Luckily, we can bypass this and get to Shuro Chi completely solo using the Wall of Wishes.

Head into the Last Wish Raid from the beginning, and before making your way into the first encounter, take a left and jump up the rocks until you find your way to the Wall of Wishes.

From here, you will shoot the circles on the wall to cycle what symbol is displayed on them.

Create the pattern shown above and step onto the plate to activate the wish. This will teleport you directly to the Shuro Chi encounter. Make sure that you start the encounter and wipe to save the checkpoint to your character.

From here, all you have to do is rally at your Raid Banner, open the door to begin the encounter and start killing every enemy that spawns.

Eventually, the Boss will begin the wipe mechanic, and you will die, placing you back at the start of the encounter for another run.

Breakneck Mission

If you don’t own the Last Wish Raid or just don’t want to deal with the Wall of Wishes, the Breakneck Mission is a close second for farming kills and has become the go-to method for many players. This is the fourth mission of the Lightfall campaign.

After completing this mission on your first playthrough of the campaign, you will unlock it as a replayable mission on Neptune.

Load into the mission, preferably on Normal difficulty, and make your way to the checkpoint immediately after you use Strand to Grapple.

When you are forced to break a door to get to the next section, you will see a Rally Banner. This is the checkpoint you will want to farm.

Stepping into the room will spawn many enemies, about 45 in a single room. Kill as many as you wish but do not go past this room or you will lose the checkpoint.

You will also want to make sure that you leave at least one enemy alive inside of this room. Killing all of them will also move your checkpoint further along in the mission.

It is easiest to leave one of the Wyverns alive and kill every other enemy in the room. Once all of them are gone, allow the Wyvern to kill you to send you back to your checkpoint.

While 45 enemies per checkpoint may not seem like much, especially when compared to the 80+ available in the Shuro Chi encounter, The Breakneck Mission has something that Raids do not.

Campaign Rally Banners are not the same as Raid Rally Banners. While you have to purchase and consume Raid Rally Banners, Campaign Banners are both free and infinite in use.

This means that you will still get a full refresh on your ammo reserves and abilities at the beginning of every checkpoint without having to spend resources on them. This can save you hundreds of Raid Banners in the long run.

Another plus to using the Breakneck Mission is that campaign mission checkpoints do not reset, unlike Raid and Dungeon checkpoints which reset at the beginning of every week.

You can reuse your Breakneck checkpoint however many times you need, whenever you need, and it will always spawn you where you need to be.

Ecthar

The Ghost of the Deep Dungeon has yet another great encounter for farming kills. Many players even consider this method more efficient than Shuro Chi.

Ecthar is the first Boss inside of the Ghost of the Deep Dungeon and the second encounter in total. To get to him, you will need to complete the first puzzle encounter.

This encounter is entirely possible to complete solo, though it will take some time, and you will need to make sure you do not die and restart the encounter.

The alternative to completing the first encounter is to find someone with an Ecthar checkpoint and have them give it you to.

To do this, join any player with the Ecthar checkpoint and have them begin the encounter. Once it has started, you will need to wipe and respawn before the checkpoint is saved to your character.

You can now leave the Fireteam and load into the Ghost of the Deep Dungeon on your very own Ecthar checkpoint. You can find plenty of Guardians willing to give out weekly checkpoints inside of the official Destiny 2 LFG Discord.

Once you are at Ecthar, you will have access to Rally Banners just like you would in a Raid. Again, perfect for when you need to farm Heavy weapon kills or Special weapon kills.

Starting the encounter will spawn many, many enemies for you to kill. This includes some pesky Knights and exploding Moth enemies, along with a slew of Minor enemies.

Unlike the first two farming methods on this list, there is no limit to the amount of enemies that will spawn in during the Exthar encounter. So long as you can stay alive, enemies will continually pour out of the doors to either side of the encounter for you to farm.

This encounter is great for farming Primary weapon kills, as you may end up running low on Special and Heavy ammo reserves. The only downside to this encounter is the Power Level.

As this is a newer Dungeon in Destiny 2, the Power Level is set to 1800. Enemies will not only be harder to kill but will also deal more damage to you than normal, making it somewhat difficult to stay alive if you are not properly Power Leveled for the Dungeon.

This method is only recommended if you are higher than Power Level 1800 and are capable of staying alive during the encounter. If you have trouble getting more than 40 kills before dying, you may consider using a different method on the list for farming your kills.

Thrall Way

Along with the release of the Last Wish Raid came the Shattered Throne Dungeon. There are a lot of enemies in this Dungeon, though one section sticks out more than any other in terms of enemy density.

The Thrall Way was affectionately named by the community for the sheer amount of Thrall enemies that spawn during this part of the Dungeon.

While this can be a brutal section to get past during a normal run, we welcome the abundance of enemies for farming purposes.

To get to the Thrall Way, you will need to complete the first puzzle encounter of the Dungeon and traverse the platforming sections as you normally would. Just like Ecthar, you can get a checkpoint past the first encounter from a friendly Guardian to speed things up.

Once you get to the end of the Ogre platforming section, you will be at the entrance of the Thrall Way. Stepping inside of the door will slow your movement speed and restrict your jumps.

During this section, Thrall enemies will continually spawn in from all corners of the encounter and run straight at you. You will never have to wipe to get the Thrall to spawn again.

If you find yourself a nice ledge to stand on, you can safely shoot all of the Thralls without being in any real danger. Just make sure that you do not go too far into the encounter, or you risk making the Thrall stop spawning.

Healing can still be an issue in this encounter. It is a good idea to bring any sort of healing abilities you can, just in case.

You won’t have access to any Rally Banners, though, with a few Ammo Scout Mods, you should be able to pick up Special and Heavy ammo bricks just by killing enough Thrall.

While this farming method requires a bit more setup than most, it makes up for it in convenience. You never have to wipe to get enemies spawning again, and you don’t have to be 1800 Power Level just to survive.

Dares of Eternity

The final farming method is also the simplest. Surprisingly, the Dares of Eternity activity can be a great source for farming any type of weapon or ability kills.

This activity is free to all players. You will be joined by a full Fireteam of five other players and put into an arena to kill as many enemies as you can while completing small objectives to progress the activity.

There are a variety of power-ups that you can pick up during the activity. These range from increased movement speed to ability regeneration, making it easy to farm Grenade or Melee kills when needed.

The Starhorse’s Favor Buff grants players infinite Super ability usage and infinite Heavy ammo. This is ideal for farming Exotic Heavy weapon Catalysts and Super ability final blows quickly.

You will have two chances to get the Starhorse’s Favor Buff. The first is immediately after the first encounter is completed.

You will have to make sure that you complete the following platforming section without falling into the lower section. Staying on the upper section until the very end will grant you the Starhorse’s Favor.

To ensure you always make the initial jump to the platforming section, walk backward into the gravity shoot. This will phase your character through the giant spinning wheel and avoid ever colliding with it.

If you fail the platforming section, you will need to complete the next encounter before you get another chance at obtaining the buff.

You and your Fireteam will need to guess the randomized final Boss of the activity by standing on one of three platforms on the ground.

Everyone standing on the correct platform will be given the Starhorse’s Favor

Destiny 2 does this perfectly with its emote system.

If you are new to the game and want to know how to use your emotes, this is the guide for you.

To use an emote in Destiny 2, use the Arrow Keys on the PC or the D-Pad on a console.

Table of Contents

How to Emote in Destiny 2

Just about every online game today gives its players some way of communicating with each other without having to use voice chat. One of the most common methods is the use of emotes.

While emotes began as a way to quickly let players interact with each other in a clear way, they have quickly evolved to encompass just about anything. In Destiny 2’s case, emotes often mean dancing.

To use an emote in Destiny 2, you will need to assign it to one of the four emote keys, the Arrow Keys on PC or the D-Pad on console. Pressing one of these keys will activate the emote assigned to it.

You begin the game with a basic selection of Uncommon emotes, such as waving, pointing, and sitting, along with a few goofy dances.

Rare emotes are more animated, while Legendary and Exotic emotes make up some of the best in terms of humor and choreography.

To assign an emote to a specific key, head to your Character Menu and go down a page. On the right, you should see an option to go to your Emote Collection, where you will see all of the emotes you currently have unlocked.

You can preview an emote here and even favorite them to make them easier to find when you want to swap out which emotes you have assigned.

If you have a large collection, you will see arrows that navigate between the different pages of your emotes.

You will notice that your four emote slots are displayed on the right of this menu. These are the emotes that you can use on-demand with a single button press.

The upper emote slot is also used as your Introductory Emote. This is the emote that your character will perform whenever you are introduced in special game modes such as Trials of Osiris.

To get more emotes, you will need to purchase them from the Eververse Store. You can access the Eververse store from the Tower by speaking to Tes next to the Postmaster or directly from the Store menu.

Most emotes can be purchased using Bright Dust, a currency gathered by completing Daily Bounties. Other emotes, specifically limited-time-only emotes, are purchased using Silver, Destiny 2’s premium currency.

You will find different emotes available for sale every week. Check back often if you are looking to expand your emote collection.

Emotes can be used in just about every activity in Destiny 2, whether you are being social in the Tower or in the middle of an intense Raid. The exception to this comes with the competitive PvP game modes.

Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter game. You are limited to only seeing the perspective that your actual character sees in the game.

Emotes, on the other hand, put the player into a third-person view, allowing them to see their character and enjoy the emote along with everyone else.

This becomes a problem in competitive matches when players are using the third-person perspective of emotes to look around corners without having to peek around the corner physically and put themselves in danger.

Because of this, Bungie has disabled the use of emotes inside of Competitive PvP matches as well as Trials of Osiris matches. Don’t worry. Your Introductory Emote will still play at the beginning of every match.

I hope to see you enjoying the use of emotes throughout your Destiny 2 play sessions!

To get Small Rice Cakes in Destiny 2, complete activities anywhere in the Moon Destination.

How to Get Rice Cakes in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 has plenty of small easter eggs hidden throughout the game. Some of these are purely aesthetic, while others are tied to Quests and challenges.

One such easter egg came with the release of the Shadowkeep Expansion. Players exploring the new Moon Destination would find Jade Rabbits hidden all over.

These Jade Rabbits are part of the Let Them Eat Rice Cakes Triumph. To unlock this Triumph, you will need to first collect nine Small Rice Cakes.

Small Rice Cakes can be rewarded for doing just about any activity on the Moon. The real problem is that they are a very rare drop.

Players looking to complete this Triumph will need some patience and a good farming method if they are to get all of the Rice Cakes they need. Many have found success by simply going around and completing as many Patrols and Public Events as they can.

Planetary Materials and chests are also a great source for Small Rice Cakes. Equipping a Tracking Mod on your Ghost will help you quickly find any nearby Planetary Materials and caches to loot for additional chances at getting a Small Rice Cake.

To make matters worse, players can only acquire one Small Rice Cake per character per week. This means that if you manage to get a Small Rice Cake on each of your characters every week, it will take you three weeks before you even have a chance at obtaining all of the nine Small Rice Cakes you need to complete the Triumph.

How to Use Small Rice Cakes

Once you have nine Small Rice Cakes, you will need to find each of the nine Jade Rabbits hidden throughout the Moon and feed one Rice Cake to each Rabbit. The Jade Rabbit Locations can be tricky to find without some help.

The first can be found in Archer’s Line. Inside the large broken dome, there is a small room with a Rabbit hiding in the right corner.

The second is inside of the K1 Logistics Lost Sector. After opening the final chest, go into the room behind the chest and there will be a Jade Rabbit sitting on the right wall.

The third can be found in the Anchor of Light. Scale the large satellite tower and you will find the Rabbit next to the terminal.

The fourth is in the Hellmouth area. Head to the southernmost point of the area where the chasm opens up in the ground and you will find the Jade Rabbit on the right of the chask next to a purple tarp.

The fifth will be hidden in Sorrow’s Harbor. To the left of the ramp leading to the Dungeon entrance, you will find the Jade Rabbit between two pillars.

The sixth is hidden deep inside the Circle of Bones. Immediately after entering the area, drop down below the platform and look to your right to find the Jade Rabbit.

The seventh can be found deep in the Chamber of Night. After entering the Chamber of Night, continue forward until you see a large rock where your Rabbit sits.

The eighth Jade Rabbit is once again far inside the Shrine of Oryx. As soon as you enter the area, follow the edge of the cliff until you spot the Rabbit sitting on the ledge.

The ninth Jade Rabbit is going to be tougher. You will need to first complete the Shadowkeep campaign and then complete the Memory of Sai Mota quest from Eris Morn in order to get a Firewall Data Fragment.

This is then used to unlock the door at the end of the K1 Revelation Lost Sector. In the back of this newly unlocked room sits the Jade Rabbit.

After feeding a Small Rice Cake to each of the nine Jade Rabbits, head to the Sanctuary Drop Zone on the Moon. Drop down to the room directly below where you load in and you will find the entrance to a small hallway.

You will see that all of the Jade Rabbits are neatly lined across the walls. At the end of the hall, you should be able to interact with the tenth and final Jade Rabbit.

Doing so will complete the Triumph and reward you with the Lunar Gloom Shader.

Be sure to get your Small Rice Cakes every week! Missing one means you will have to wait another week for your Triumph completion.

Destiny 2 – How Many Bounties Can You Hold? https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-how-many-bounties-can-you-hold/ https://gamerempire.net/destiny-2-how-many-bounties-can-you-hold/#respond Wed, 14 Feb 2024 08:35:38 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=63865 Many Destiny 2 players find themselves running out of space for all of the Bounties that they want to complete. Understanding how your Quests affect your Bounty capacity is important.

Today, we will take a look at Quest and Bounty Capacity to find out just how many Bounties you can actually hold.

You can hold a maximum of 63 Bounties in Destiny 2. This number is shared with your Quests and decreases for every Quest you have in your Quest tab.

Table of Contents

How Many Bounties Can You Hold in Destiny 2?

Completing Bounties is one of the best ways you can level up in Destiny 2. Many players will maximize their game time by trying to stock up on as many Bounties as they can before heading out to complete them all at the same time.

Unfortunately, there is a limit as to how many Bounties you can carry. To find out how many Bounties you can carry, head to your Quests menu.

Here, you will see all of your active Expansion Quests, Campaign Quests, Seasonal Quests, Exotic Quests, and Catalyst Quests displayed on the left. On the right, you will see all of the Bountiues that you have yet to complete.

At the bottom of the screen, you should see your Total Quest and Bounty Capacity. This number shows how many total Quests and Bounties you currently have on hand.

You will notice that you can only have a maximum of 63 Quests and Bounties held at the same time. This capacity is shared between the two.

This means that if you have many older Quests from past Seasons still in your inventory, you will have less available space for holding Bounties. This shouldn’t be a problem for regular players, though returning players will definitely notice a lack of Bounty slots.

If you find yourself hurting for extra Quest and Bounty slots, it may be time to complete some of those Quests that you have been ignoring. Maybe get that Catalyst that you have been putting off.

Alternatively, you can start abandoning older Quests that you don’t see yourself pursuing anytime soon. Most Quests can be reacquired from the Quest Archive Kioske in the Tower, so you will never miss out on content by abandoning a Quest.

You may be wondering why anyone would need so many Bounty slots if they are going to turn them in when they are completed. It is true that the average player does not need very many open Bounty slots to complete their dailies.

The players who need as many Bounty slots as possible are the ones who are preparing for the release of a new Season or Expansion. We’ve mentioned that Bounties are a great source for XP.

The best part about Bounty XP is that it is on-demand. Once you complete a Bounty, it will not expire, allowing you to turn it in whenever you wish.

This leads many players to hoard as many completed Bounties as possible for weeks, sometimes even months before a new Season begins.

Once it is launch day, these players will complete the first Seasonal mission and unlock their Seasonal Artifact before mass-completing all of their saved Bounties.

This leads to an enormous amount of XP that jumpstarts their Seasonal Artifact Level, giving them access to many of the new Seasonal Perks as soon as possible.

For players preparing to take on newly released content on day one, this is a must-use strategy to gain an edge.

You should now have a better understanding of the Bounty and Quest Capacity in Destiny 2.
