Are Rockets and C4s too expensive for you? Well, there is a machine in the world of Rust that will allow you to bully other players without having to be anywhere near them.

The MLRS is a rocket-firing machine that will allow you to shoot Rockets at incredible distances and instantly destroy someone’s base in a matter of seconds.

Recommended Read: Number of Spears or Pickaxes to Destroy a Stone Wall in Rust

The only problem is that you need to spend a lot of time preparing to use the MLRS, as you will need special Rockets for it and a special Aiming Module that you can only get from the highest-level crates.

In this guide, we will show you exactly how to use the MLRS in Rust, explain exactly how it works, and teach you how to destroy anyone’s base in seconds.

Table of Contents

What is the MLRS?

MLRS stands for Multiple Launch Rocket System, and it is a special machine that can only be found in Rust inside the Abandoned Military Base in the Desert biome.

The MLRS can be used by any player to send Rockets anywhere on the map (excluding safe zones and monuments) to destroy your enemies.

How to Use the MLRS in Rust

To use the MLRS in Rust, you will need one MLRS Aiming Module and 1 to 12 MLRS Rockets.

You will have to get inside the Abandoned Military Base, get through the scientists there (around 6 Patrol Scientists), and find the MLRS. You can see exactly how it looks in the image at the top of the guide.

First, you will have to place the MLRS Rockets at the back of the machine. Just press to open and insert the Rockets. You can only place 12 of them inside.

Then, go to the front of the vehicle and enter it. Look to the right inside the machine and open it to insert the MLRS Aiming Module. The screen will turn on, and you can finally choose where you want to shoot the Rockets.

Players will see a map with a red target and a white circle following it around.

When you press on the screen to choose where you want to shoot the Rockets, the red target will move where you clicked, and the white circle will follow.

The actual area where the MLRS Rockets will fall is the one shown by the white circle. You will have to use the red target to move the position of the white circle to make sure you actually hit your target.

Leave the interface and then look to the left to press the Fire Rockets button. Once you press it, the Rockets will immediately launch. The MLRS Aiming Module will disappear, and the MLRS will be disabled for around 10 minutes after this.

The MLRS will look like it is on fire. You can tell the MLRS is ready to use again when the fire disappears from the front of the machine.

Where to Get MLRS Aiming Module and Rockets in Rust

Both the MLRS Aiming Module and Rockets are extremely rare. You can only get them from some of the highest tier crates in Rust.

You can only get the MLRS Aiming Module from Locked Crates (50% chance). Locked Crates are the best loot crates in Rust, as they only yield tier 3 equipment and items. There are two ways to find Locked Crates in Rust:

  • Board Cargo Ships
  • Keep an eye out for Chinook Helicopter drops

Cargo Ships are usually your best bet, as they spawn often and the Locked Crates in them also respawn while they are circling the island.

The MLRS Rockets aren’t any easier to get, as they only spawn in these crates in Rust:

  • APC Crate – 97% Chance of Getting 1 to 5 MLRS Rockets
  • Elite Tier Crate – 50% Chance of Getting 1 MLRS Rocket
  • Helicopter Crate – 15% Chance of Getting 2 MLRS Rockets

That’s everything you need to know about how to use the MLRS in Rust!

Rust – How Many Spears or Pickaxes to Destroy Stone Walls https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-many-spears-or-pickaxes-to-destroy-stone-walls/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-many-spears-or-pickaxes-to-destroy-stone-walls/#respond Thu, 22 Jun 2023 08:21:31 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=48499 The Stone Walls in Rust are the most common type of protection that most players will use to defend their base. As they are relatively hard to get through in the early game, you will see most bases made out of Stone.

Due to Stone Walls being so prevalent in the world of Rust, players will need to figure out some cheap and easy way to get through them, right? Be it for raiding or for destroying your own walls, Rockets aren’t always the best solution.

Recommended Read: How to Get an SMG Body in Rust

Spears and Pickaxes are some of the most common weapons and tools that you will find and use in Rust.

This is why it is important to know how many Spears or Pickaxes you need to destroy Stone Walls in Rust, how many resources, and how much time you will also lose in the process.

Table of Contents

How Many Spears Do You Need to Destroy a Stone Wall in Rust?

Spears are the easiest weapon to craft in Rust, and you will probably have a few ready at all times in the early game.

Unfortunately, the Spears aren’t incredibly powerful, which means that you will have to use a lot of them to damage a Stone Wall.

The Stone Wall has 500 HP, and it is much more resilient than the Wooden Wall, as it doesn’t take as much damage from the same type of weapons.

If you hit a Stone Wall with a Wooden Spear until it breaks, the Wall will lose around 2 HP.

In total, you will need to use and break 236 Wooden Spears on a Stone Wall in Rust to destroy it. This endeavor will take around 1 hour and 44 minutes of continuous wall-hitting.

The Stone Spear is a bit stronger than the Wooden Spear, in theory, but you will actually have to use more to get through the Stone Wall. Stone Spears break down easier than Wooden Spears, but deal more damage.

Stone Spears will also deal around 2 HP damage per Spear, but the actual real number is closer to 1.92.

This means that you will need 260 Stone Spears to destroy a Stone Wall in Rust. Still, since they break faster, you will manage to bring down the wall in just 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Still, those stats are for the hard side of a Stone Wall. If you want to take down a Stone Wall from the soft side, you will only need 23 Wooden Spears (11 minutes) or 26 Stone Spears (8 minutes).

How Many Pickaxes Do You Need to Destroy a Stone Wall in Rust?

Pickaxes are a relatively bad choice if you want to take down a Stone Wall from the hard side in Rust.

There are two Pickaxes that you can use, the simple one and the Stone one, and both deal a really low amount of damage to the walls.

A Stone Pickaxe will deal around 1.5 HP damage per tool destroyed. This means that you will need exactly 340 Stone Pickaxes to destroy a Stone Wall in Rust from the hard side. This task would take you around 2 hours of continuous hitting.

The normal Pickaxe deals around 7 HP damage to the Stone Wall per tool. With 72 Pickaxes, you should be able to destroy a Stone Wall in Rust. Unfortunately, this would take around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Both Pickaxes would be a horrible choice for destroying a Stone Wall from the hard side. However, the results are different when you look at the soft side.

With 33 Stone Pickaxes, you can easily take down a Stone Wall from the soft side, in just under 13 minutes.

To destroy a Stone Wall using the soft side with normal Pickaxes, you will need to use 7 of them. This will take you 10 minutes and a half.

Table Showing How Many Spears and Pickaxes You Need to Destroy Stone Walls in Rust

Now that you’ve gone through all the stats, here is a simple table where you can easily check everything again when you need to come back, where we show you exactly how many Spears and Pickaxes you need to destroy Stone Walls in Rust:

Tool/WeaponHard Side Amount (Time)Damage per Tool/Weapon on Hard SideResources Needed on Hard SideSoft Side Amount (Time)Damage per Tool/Weapon on Soft SideResources Needed on Soft Side

Rust – How to Get an SMG Body https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-get-an-smg-body/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-get-an-smg-body/#respond Wed, 21 Jun 2023 20:09:42 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=48505 The SMG Body is an incredibly useful component in Rust that you will need to craft weapons such as the Custom SMG, MP5A4, and the Thompson.

These are some of the best guns in Rust, and you can only craft them if you have an SMG Body in your inventory or base boxes.

Recommended Read: How Many Machetes Do You Need to Destroy a Wood Door in Rust?

Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of ways to get your hands on this component, as the developers have tried to make obtaining them a serious challenge.

To get an SMG Body in Rust, you will need to either loot high level crates, such as Treasure Boxes and Locked Crates, or Scientists from higher tier monuments.

Table of Contents

How to Get an SMG Body in Rust

There are two ways you can try to farm and get SMG Bodies in Rust:

  • Loot high-tier crates
  • Farm high-level scientists

Here are the exact boxes/crates that you can loot in Rust to get an SMG Body, along with the spawn rate of the component:

  • Locked Crate – 46% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Treasure Box – 42% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Underwater Lab Tech Crate – 31% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Underwater Lab Elite Crate – 28% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Elite Tier Crate – 28% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Underwater Lab Yellow Crate – 17% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Wagon Military Crate – 17% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Military Crate – 17% Chance of Getting an SMG Body

Here are also the scientists that you can loot for SMG Bodies in Rust, along with their drop rates:

  • NVG Scientist – 11% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Military Tunnel Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Military Base Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Arctic Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Oil Rig Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Excavator Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Cargo Ship Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Patrol Scientist – 3% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Heavy Scientist – 2% Chance of Getting an SMG Body
  • Roaming Scientist – 1% Chance of Getting an SMG Body

Best Locations/Monuments to Farm SMG Bodies in Rust

The best place to farm SMG Bodies in Rust is the Underwater Lab. As you can see from the earlier stats, the Underwater Lab has the highest spawn rates for SMG Bodies inside crates.

There are also three different types of crates inside the lab that have the chance to drop an SMG Body.

Since the crates respawn often when there are enough players on the server, you can get up to 30 SMG Bodies by just standing inside the Lab and continuously looting crates.

If you’ve never been to the Underwater Lab before, prepare for a real challenge. To get there, you will need diving gear.

The only thing you actually need is a Diving Tank since you will need to spend a lot of time underwater. You can also use a Wetsuit and Diving Fins to move faster. You can get all of these from the Fishing Village.

Inside the Underwater Lab, you will face a lot of angry scientists that can easily overwhelm you if you aren’t careful. Make sure to either bring a friend or take your time while fighting everyone inside.

The most common type of door at the start of a server is the Wooden Door, which is very easy to destroy. Since Machetes are easy to make and you will probably have one or two on you, it would be nice to know how many you need to destroy a Wooden Door.

Recommended Read: How to Fly a Hot Air Balloon in Rust

Machetes aren’t the most powerful weapons in the game, but they should be able to take down a Wooden Door with enough effort and time, right?

Here is the exact amount of Machetes needed to destroy a Wooden Door in Rust and whether you should swing or throw them at the structure.

Table of Contents

How Many Machetes Do You Need to Destroy a Wooden Door in Rust?

A normal Wooden Door in Rust has 200 HP. Though it might sound like a lot, the Wooden Door is weaker than most other structures, as wooden structures in Rust, in general, are less resistant to damage.

A single Machete that you use, until it breaks down, will deal around 13 to 14 HP damage to the door. This means that you will need 15 Machetes to destroy a Wooden Door in Rust.

Since doors also gain 50% more defense when they are open, you should also know that you would need 23 Machetes to destroy an open Wooden Door.

To craft a Machete, you will need 100 Wood and 40 Metal Fragments. This means that you will need 1,500 Wood and 600 Metal Frags to break down a Wooden Door with Machetes.

Since you will most likely have to destroy two doors, make sure you bring double the specified amount.

Surprisingly, the Machete is the 4th fastest melee weapon to use to destroy Wooden Doors in Rust, only defeated by very high-quality items such as the Longsword, Salvaged Sword, and Chainsaw.

It will take you around 6 minutes and 30 seconds to destroy a Wooden Door with Machetes if you continuously change them when they break down.

The Chainsaw, which is the fastest choice, is only going to destroy the Wooden Door in around 4 minutes.

Should You Hit or Throw Machetes at a Wooden Door?

Usually, with most melee weapons, you will have to make a choice between swinging them or throwing them.

Throwing a melee weapon deals more damage to players, NPCs, and structures, than it would if you swung it.

When it comes to throwing Machetes at a Wooden Door to destroy it, the same statement is true. You can destroy a Wooden Door in Rust with 14 Machetes if you were to throw them. This isn’t a huge difference from the number you need to use when swinging.

The disadvantage of throwing appears when you realize how long this would take. You will need at least 17 minutes. So, even though you use one less Machete and you save 100 Wood and 40 Metal Frags, you lose 10 extra minutes of your life.

So, you should only attack Wooden Doors at close range with Machetes and not throw them since that would be a huge waste of time.

Rust – How to Fly a Hot Air Balloon https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-fly-a-hot-air-balloon/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-fly-a-hot-air-balloon/#respond Wed, 21 Jun 2023 14:14:28 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=48380 Some players may not even know this, but you can fly the Hot Air Balloons that randomly spawn around the map in Rust. And you can actually control which direction this flying behemoth can go.

The first time you probably used the Hot Air Balloon, you probably thought that it just followed the wind, which, for some reason, changed directions a lot.

Recommended Read: How to Build, Drive, and Lock Cars in Rust

Well, the Balloon actually has a flying mechanism in place that will allow you to properly guide it and make it reach incredible locations, such as the Cargo Ship or dropped Locked Crates, with amazing accuracy and faster than the other players.

To fly a Hot Air Balloon in Rust, you will need to feed it Low Grade Fuel, turn it on, and then keep it at specific heights to control the direction it is going.

Table of Contents

How to Find and Start a Hot Air Balloon in Rust

Before we start on the exact way you can fly a Hot Air Balloon in Rust, let’s go through how to get it started and where to find it.

First of all, you will need Low Grade Fuel to start it. To be exact, you need 4 to start flying and 5 every 30 seconds while the fire is burning.

You can place the fuel inside the Hot Air Balloon by entering its basket, looking directly up, and pressing E.

The amount of health a Hot Air Balloon has in Rust determines its speed. This is why you will also need to come prepared with a Hammer and a lot of Cloth.

To fully repair a Hot Air Balloon, you will need 150 Cloth.

Since the Hot Air Balloon constantly loses health and decays from the moment it spawns, it can be almost impossible to find one at full health.

Hot Air Balloons spawn all over the map in Rust, usually on flat lands where they have space. The Balloons work in a similar manner to boats and cars, as they spawn to keep their number the same on the map.

If someone manages to keep a large collection of Balloons in their base, then all of the other players on the server won’t be able to find any. However, this is very hard to do and almost impossible.

How to Fly a Hot Air Balloon in Rust

Hot Air Balloons in Rust decide which direction they are going based on the height they are flying at. To fly a Hot Air Balloon properly in Rust, you will need to control the height of the aircraft at all times.

To make the Balloon fly, you just need to press the red button that says Burn when you look at it. As you get higher and higher, you will see that the flag and sock connected to the button will show you which direction the wind is blowing.

That is the same direction your Hot Air Balloon will fly. The flags will start moving clockwise as you get to higher altitudes. Once you reach the maximum altitude, the fire will stop by itself, and you will start to free fall.

Control the Fire

To control and fly the Hot Air Balloon in Rust, you will have to constantly turn on and off the fire that brings the Balloon higher. The best way to do this is to get to a higher altitude and then start this process, as you can otherwise easily hit the ground and lose control.

Here is the best way to fly a Hot Air Balloon in Rust:

  1. Press the Burn button and let the Balloon rise to a relatively high altitude.
  2. Once you see the flag next to the button pointing in the direction you want to go, press the button and stop Balloon from getting any higher.
  3. There will be a delay until the flag will stop moving to the right. When you see it almost stopping, press the Burn button again.
  4. Try pressing the button in a 5 second interval to keep the flag from going too far to the left or right.

Following those instructions should help you reach any destination you want in record time. However, it will still be relatively hard to land exactly where you want.

You will have to let the Balloon fall lower and then maybe control the directions again. In general, you can just let it free fall as it won’t move too much when it falls.

Risks of Flying with a Hot Air Balloon in Rust

Though the Hot Air Balloon is very fast and could even be considered easier to fly than a Helicopter in Rust, it is extremely dangerous.

It is a very easy target for most players, and you won’t have any real defenses if there. It is also relatively hard to shoot at targets as you have to constantly control the altitude of the aircraft.

Solo players get the biggest disadvantage from using the Hot Air Balloon due to the fact that they will be stuck staring at that button the whole flight.

SAM Sites are also extremely lethal. Flying close to monuments such as the Launch Site will get you shot down.

Rust – How to Build, Drive, and Lock a Car https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-build-drive-and-lock-a-car/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-build-drive-and-lock-a-car/#respond Wed, 21 Jun 2023 08:02:20 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=48375 Normally, games like to brag that the cars that they provide players have a lot of customizable features. Well, Rust, a multiplayer survival game, probably has some of the most complex and customizable cars we have seen in a video game before.

All cars you find in Rust are 100% customizable, to the point where you can take down each part of the machine and just leave the chassis and nothing else.

Recommended Read: How to Get Blood in Rust

There are a lot of things that you will need to learn to start using cars properly in Rust. The first thing will be to learn how to actually build a car. Once you know that, you will also have to figure out how to drive that metal beast.

In this guide, we will go through all the details you need to learn about how to build, drive, and lock a car in Rust, and make you into one of the best drivers on this radioactive island.

Table of Contents

How to Build a Car in Rust

There is no way to build a car from scratch in Rust. You can’t just find random parts and put them together to get a car.

The way cars work in Rust is that there are around 60 cars that spawn on the map after a server wipe, and the game will keep spawning new cars each time one is destroyed. You can find these random cars in the wilderness, but you will need parts to make them work.

Once you manage to get all the necessary parts to make the car move, you can then bring it to your Rust base to start customizing and building it to become better. To do this, you will need to craft a Modular Car Lift.

This deployable item will allow you to make changes to the car and add or remove its modules. You can also use this lift to quickly repair the car without having to hit every module with the hammer.

Players will just have to connect it to a source of power for it to work. It only needs 5 power, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Usually, to build a car in Rust, all you need is a chassis (the frame of the car). It doesn’t matter what modules are also attached to it. You can craft all of the other parts using a level 2 Workbench, where you can also learn how to craft the Modular Car Lift.

While using the Modular Car Lift, it can be confusing to figure out which slots represent the front of the car and which ones represent the back. Starting from the left, the squares are the front of the car, while the ones on the right represent the back.

Chassis and Car Modules

There are three types of car chassis’ that you can find in Rust:

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large

The small ones can only have 2 modules, the medium one 3, and the large one 4. You can usually tell how small the chassis of a car in the wilderness is just by looking at its length. The longer it is, the larger the chassis.

There are only a couple of types of modules that you can craft and place on a frame to build a car in Rust:

  • Cockpit Module
  • Passenger Module
  • Flatbed Module
  • Fuel Tank Module
  • Engine Vehicle Module

The ones that will usually be the most important if you want what you are creating to be a functioning car are the Cockpit and the Engine. Without these two, the car won’t work.

There is a special type of Cockpit module that combines those two, allowing more space for other modules, if needed.

The Passenger modules are very useful if you want more than two people inside the car, as the Cockpit only has space for the driver and someone next to them.

The Flatbed modules are relatively useless, as they allow players to stand on the car and shoot, but there is almost no protection.

The Fuel Tank can only transport Water, which is relatively useless. Unless you want to use a car to constantly transport 200,000 ml of Water to your base for farming, this module isn’t needed.

The Engine Vehicle Module is the second most important module for cars, as they won’t work without it. You can place more than one Engine on a car, making it faster. The maximum amount of Engines you can use is 3, which would result in the fastest possible speed with a car in Rust.

How to Make a Car Work and Drive it in Rust

The car in Rust needs two things to work:

  • Low Grade Fuel
  • All the Engine parts

The place where you input Low Grade Fuel is always at the back of the car. There is a small, red canister where you can interact and place the fuel.

However, to actually start burning fuel, you will need to make the Engine work. To start the Engine, you will need to place 5 types of parts inside of it:

  • Carburetor
  • Crankshaft
  • Pistons
  • Spark Plugs
  • Valves

All of these parts have different levels of quality, which will influence the speed, acceleration, and fuel economy of the car you are building. To make the Engine work, you will need to place 1 Carburetor, 1 Crankshaft, 2 Pistons, 2 Spark Plugs, and 2 Valves inside of it.

You can remember which Engine parts need a partner by just looking at their image. The Pistons, Spark Plugs, and Valves have an image of two items, while the Carburetor and Crankshaft only have one.

Where to Get Engine Parts

Though you might think that you have to find Engine parts in crates and boxes, since you can find the car in the wild, you actually have to craft all of the Engine parts.

You can craft the Low Quality variants of all of the Engine parts using a level 1 Workbench. All of them cost Metal Fragments to make. The amount you need to make all of them and make a car work is 215 Metal Frags.

To actually learn the Blueprints for these parts, you will need to find them inside Vehicle Part crates and then research them at the Research Table. Luckily, you craft the Medium and High Quality counterparts without having to find them.

The Medium Parts can be researched after learning how to craft the Modular Car Lift from the Tech Tree in the level 2 Workbench.

To learn how to craft High Quality Engine parts, you will need a level 3 Workbench.

Once you have all of the Engine parts in place and enough Low Grade Fuel inside the tank, you can start driving at any time by mounting the Cockpit module on the driver’s side.

How to Drive

The general driving controls are the same ones you use to walk (WASD), so this shouldn’t be hard to learn. “W” is to accelerate, and “S” is to go in reverse. “A” and “D” will be used to steer the car to the left or right.

If you are using the Armored Cockpit, it might be very hard to see through the windows. Make sure to open them before starting to drive, as you won’t see anything otherwise.

How to Lock a Car in Rust – Stop Players From Stealing It

One of the most important things that you will need to do in Rust is to lock your car. Doing this will stop players from stealing it, as it will be impossible to get inside without your permission.

To lock a car in Rust, you will need to place it on the Modular Car Lift. Once the car is in position, go to the Work On Vehicle button and look in the bottom right corner of the menu.

You will see an option to Add Code Lock for 75 Metal Fragments, as long as there is a Cockpit on the car. Press that button, choose the code, and now the car will be locked.

From this menu, you can also change the lock code at any time, no matter if you are the person that placed the code or not. If the car is on a Modular Car Lift, you can change anything about it.

Players can disable or enable the lock on the Cockpit of the car at any time by mounting the car and pressing the red Use button next to the wheel. You will also get a notification in the bottom left corner of the screen telling you that the central locking system is on or off.

Rust – How to Get Blood: Does It Still Exist? https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-get-blood/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-get-blood/#respond Tue, 20 Jun 2023 18:06:11 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=48392 Rust has a really long collection of items that you can find and use. However, there are also many that you have only seen once or twice and have never figured out how to get.

Exactly as you’ve seen players using Ninja Suits, which are almost impossible to get, you’ve also probably seen players selling extremely high quality items in exchange for Blood.

The exclusive and interesting Blood Bags cannot be obtained under normal circumstances, as they have been out of the game for many years.

The only way you can get Blood in Rust is to use admin commands and spawn the item using the console. Blood has absolutely no use in the game, and it has been removed a long time ago.

Table of Contents

What Are Blood Bags in Rust?

Back in 2014, Blood Bags in Rust were used to create Medkits. Players could find these Blood Packs either as loot in various crates or boxes or they could use Blood Draw Kit to lose HP and get the item in return.

The Blood system was abused by many players, and it was used in various ways that weren’t intended until Facepunch just decided to remove the item from the game.

At the moment, even if you managed to get your hands on the Blood item somehow, you would have nothing that you could do with it.

Still, the item still exists in the admin database, and it can be easily accessed if you can use the console.

How to Get Blood in Rust

To get Blood in Rust, you just have to press F1, right-click on the Items tab in the upper right corner of the screen, write Blood in the Search bar, and spawn the item by pressing ARM while hovering over it.

Players can only get the Blood item in Rust if they have admin access to the console.

If you ever play Rust and see that some players are selling items for Blood, you can tell they have admin privileges.

Usually, these admins will just want to show how many rockets or explosives they have to the other players on the server. Since there is no way for anyone to actually get them, they are not actually selling anything.

Rust – Easiest Way to Break Stone Walls https://gamerempire.net/rust-easiest-way-to-break-stone-walls/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-easiest-way-to-break-stone-walls/#respond Thu, 15 Jun 2023 07:47:56 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=47947 The most common type of walls that you will find in Rust are Stone Walls. Everyone will use them since they are relatively easy to make and are very sturdy. Most new players won’t be able to get inside your base if you have these guys up.

However, they are still relatively easy to destroy compared to their Sheet Metal and Armored counterparts. If you use the right weapon, you should be able to get through a Stone Wall in less than 15 seconds.

Unfortunately, those types of weapons are usually expensive, especially if they are explosives, and can take a lot of farming time.

The easiest way to break Stone Walls in Rust is to use Timed Explosive Charges (C4). The C4s are extremely powerful, and they will destroy the Stone Walls in around 11 seconds.

Rust Stone Walls General Stats

The Stone Wall is the 3rd most powerful wall type in Rust, and they are very sturdy. Most early to mid-game players will have a hard time getting through one of these.

A Stone Wall has 500 HP, and it isn’t susceptible to fire, making weapons like the Fire Arrow and the Molotov Cocktails useless.

The hard side of a Stone Wall looks like a brick wall, while the soft side looks like it is very smooth and it is almost all white.

Usually, if you have to face the hard side of a Stone Wall, you should usually use explosives, as that is the fastest and least time-consuming way to get in. If you are facing a soft side Stone Wall, you can actually consider using melee weapons and tools to break it.

Easiest Way to Break Stone Walls in Rust

The easiest and fastest way to break Stone Walls in Rust is with C4. You need exactly 2 C4 charges to break down a Stone Wall and get inside a base.

Since the C4 deals around 275 damage to the wall, there isn’t really an amazing combination that you can use to save C4.

If you quickly throw 2 C4s on a Stone Wall, in exactly 10 seconds after the second one lands on the wall, everything will explode, and the wall will break down.

C4s are also the least expensive way to destroy Stone Walls in Rust, as you only need 4,400 Sulfur to make 2 of them.

However, if you were to face the soft side of a Stone Wall, then you would have some other choices that might be better.

With a single Jackhammer and a Workbench, you can break down Stone Wall from the soft side in around 2 minutes.

You won’t even need any resources if you already have a Jackhammer, as you can refill it for free at the Workbench.

Otherwise, if you want to go full medieval, you can use the Pickaxe, as you can craft it using a level 1 Workbench, and it only takes 7 Pickaxes and around 11 minutes to break Stone Walls from the soft side in Rust.

Rust – How to Destroy Wood Door https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-destroy-wood-door/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-how-to-destroy-wood-door/#respond Thu, 15 Jun 2023 07:40:31 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=47944 Wood Doors are the most popular doors in Rust, as all players will use them at the start of a playthrough, and many new players don’t know they should quickly upgrade to the Sheet Metal version.

As you walk around in Rust and stumble into a lot of bases with Wooden Doors, you probably wonder what would be the best way to destroy that obstacle and get inside that base.

Recommended Read: Rust – Elevator Guide

There are a lot of weapons or tools that you can use to destroy Wooden Doors, but some are just much more efficient than others.

The best way to destroy a Wood Door in Rust is to use Molotov Cocktails, a Flame Thrower, Salvaged Swords, Fire Arrows, or Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo. Any one of these weapons will easily destroy the door for a very cheap price.

How to Destroy a Wooden Door in Rust

Wooden Doors are extremely weak, and anyone can easily destroy them.

Some of the most important factors when you need to know what type of weapon to use against them are the time it takes to destroy the door and the number of resources needed.

Since Wooden Doors are extremely weak to fire, it is usually a really good idea to destroy them using some kind of fire weapon.

This is why the Molotov Cocktail, Flame Thrower, and Fire Arrows are some of the best choices for destroying a Wooden Door in Rust.

Here are the exact stats for the weapons that we consider best for destroying the Wooden Door in Rust, so you can personally see why each one of these is an amazing choice:

WeaponTime to Destroy Wooden DoorRequired ResourcesQuantity Needed
Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo7 secondsMetal Fragments x100, Sulfur x500, and Charcoal x60019
Fire Arrow49 secondsLow Grade Fuel x250, Wood x500, and Cloth x5050
Flame Thrower25 secondsLow Grade Fuel x183, HQM x15, Metal Pipe x6, and Empty Propane Tank x283 Low Grade Fuel
Molotov Cocktail19 secondsLow Grade Fuel x100 and Cloth x202
Salvaged Sword6 minutesMetal Fragments x135 and Metal Blade x99

An important piece of information that you should know is that doors are more resistant when they are open.

So, if someone opens a Wooden Door and still somehow blocks the way into the base, you will need to use 50% more resources to destroy that door.

Best Weapon to Destroy Wooden Doors in Rust

As you can tell from the table, the best weapon to destroy a Wooden Door in Rust is the Molotov Cocktail. It is the easiest to make, and it will finish the job in seconds. Shooting 50 Fire Arrows might not be the most fun experience in the game.

Using Explosive Ammo would be a total waste. The Flame Thrower would also be a really good choice if you already have a spare one.

If you have to make a new one just for this, then it is not worth the resources.

When it comes to melee weapons, the Salvaged Sword is the only piece of equipment that can destroy the door in less than 6 minutes. It is also the only one that does it so fast with such a small amount of copies.

The Longsword can also do it in almost 6 minutes, but you will need to craft 12 of those bad boys to actually do it, which is a huge chore.

Rust – Elevator Guide: How to Build, Use, Etc. https://gamerempire.net/rust-elevator-guide/ https://gamerempire.net/rust-elevator-guide/#respond Wed, 14 Jun 2023 18:21:21 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=47941 One of the more interesting machines that you can build in Rust is the Elevator. Though this might not be one of the things that most players would want to build, it is actually really interesting and useful for tall bases.

The Elevator will allow you to quickly get from the ground floor to any other floor that you want to get to inside your base. Not only will you avoid having to jump and run up artificial stairs, but you will also have time to enjoy the view.

Recommended Read: Rust – Smelting Guide

Though it is not the best way to travel through your base, it is an excellent tool for people that like to use tall structures.

In this guide, we will go through everything you need to know about the Elevator in Rust, including how it works, how to build it, and how tall it can get.

Table of Contents

How Elevators Work in Rust

The Elevator in Rust allows you to quickly get from one floor to another just by pressing a button. You can go up and down, floor by floor, or quickly to the top or bottom floor.

The main use of the Elevator would be to either get on top of your base to fight raiders, or to secure most of your loot by placing it on a higher floor, which you can only get to using the Elevator.

Unfortunately, the Elevator doesn’t have an authorization system guided by the Tool Cupboard. This means that hostile players that get inside the base can also use it with no problems if you don’t set up some elaborate ways to counteract this.

This is why you need to learn how to properly build the Elevator in Rust first and then figure out how to make it so that it only works for you.

How to Build an Elevator in Rust

To craft an Elevator in Rust, you will need a level 2 Workbench, High Quality Metal x3, Metal Fragments x200, and Gears x1. Make sure to have much more materials ready, as you will need to build more than one Elevator shaft to make this work.

To build the first shaft for the Elevator, all you’ll need is a square foundation. Just equip the Elevator and place it like you would any other structure. You can also rotate it by pressing R.

After you’ve placed the Elevator, you will need to use more Elevators to make the structure taller. The way you build a full Elevator in Rust is that you will have to stack Elevators on top of one another.

You can then place walls and other structures around the Elevator to protect it from raiders and other unfriendly players.

When you place a new Elevator over your previously placed one, the lower one will disappear and the Elevator will now have two floors on which it can travel.

You should not connect the Elevator to any kind of electricity until you make it the desired height, as your cables will just disappear.

To power an Elevator, you will need to connect electricity to the engine at the top of the Elevator. This engine moves every time you place a new Elevator floor to the top, which is why you should only start connecting cables after you are done with building.

How Tall Can an Elevator Be in Rust?

The maximum number of Elevators that you can stack on top of each other in Rust is 6. This means that the maximum height of an Elevator in Rust can only be 6 floors.

But there are ways to make your Elevator even taller. You will just have to make different shafts.

If you make a 6-floor Elevator, you can then start a new Elevator from that floor.

The maximum building height for a base is 20 floors. However, you can still build the Elevator on the 20th floor, allowing you to get to 25 floors worth of height. Still, the Elevator won’t be protected by any walls at that height, which can be risky.

To build a maximum 6-floor Elevator in Rust you will need HQM x18, Metal Frags x1,200, and Gears x6.

How to Use the Elevator in Rust

Now that you built your Elevator in Rust, it is time to teach you how to use it. First of all, you will need to connect the engine at the top of the Elevator to electricity. The Elevator only needs 5 power to work, no matter the height of the machine.

At this point, all you can do is control the Elevator from the buttons inside of it. You can either go to the next floor by pressing the green button (Raise Elevator) or down to the floor below by pressing the red button (Lower Elevator).

If you hold down the E key while looking at the buttons, you can also select to go to the top or ground floor instantly, without having to go through each floor one by one.

Now, you will have to set up a system to call the Elevator to the floor that you are on. If you check the shaft edges on every floor while holding your Wire Tool, you will see that there are always two boxes named Call Elevator.

How to Call the Elevator to Any Floor

There are two decent items that you can use to call your Elevator in Rust:

  • Button
  • RF Receiver

The Button is the most common thing that you can use to call the Elevator. You just need to place it on the floor where you want to call it and connect the Call Elevator electrical input to the Button’s Output box.

Though the Button, in theory, needs 1 power to work, you don’t actually have to connect it to any kind of power source. Buttons connected to an Elevator work without any sort of power connected directly to them.

You can set up Buttons like these on all your floors, and you can call the Elevator to that floor at any time.

Another interesting method to control the Elevator is to connect RF Receivers to the Call Elevator inputs. If you do this and set each floor’s Receiver with a different frequency, you can use an RF Transmitter to instantly move the Elevator to whatever floor you want.

So, if you set the first floor’s RF Receiver to the 1 frequency, then you just need to send a signal through the RF Transmitter on frequency 1, and the Elevator will come down to that floor.

This way, you won’t even have to touch the buttons inside the Elevator to go up and down, as you can just send a signal to a different frequency to go to the floor you want to get to.

How to Secure the Elevator From Raiders in Rust – Make It So Only You Can Use It

First of all, you should have a Double Door or a Garage Door for every floor where you want to take the Elevator. This way, raiders will have to get through the door first before using the Elevator.

A second way that you can defend the Elevator when players get in is to set up traps or Turrets on the other sides of the Elevator.

If you set up a Chainlink Fence on either side of the Elevator, you can then place Turrets that will destroy anyone trying to use the Elevator.

HBHF Sensor Security

The last, more resource-efficient way to protect your Elevator from raiders is to just stop it from working when unauthorized players approach it. You can do this by setting up a complex electrical system with an HBHF Sensor.

The way you can do this is you can set up 2 to 3 HBHF Sensors inside the Elevator shaft, in between floors. You will now have to set up one AND Switch that gets both electricity and the input from one of the Sensors.

For two Sensors, you will then have to send the wires from the AND Switch into an OR Switch and then connect that OR Switch to the Elevator Engine.

The way this works is that the Elevator will only get power when one of the HBHF Sensors is active. This is why you will have to set up the HBHF Sensors to Include Authorized and Exclude Others.

This system will work almost perfectly if you learn how to set it up somewhere behind the scenes. Make sure that enemies won’t be able to get to your electrical circuit since they can find a way to mess it up if they do.

Another thing you should be careful about is that the Sensors won’t work if the Elevator is hidden behind doors. You will first need to open the doors and then call the Elevator.

Deadly Elevator

Since Elevators also crush players if they descend on top of them, you can try to create a cool trap that locks players inside the Elevator shaft and also brings down the Elevator on top of them to instantly kill them.

Elevators are extremely sturdy, as you need more than 2 C4s to destroy them. If you manage to trap someone in the shaft, then they will have no way out.
