However, there will be many challenges along the way that will keep you from doing that.

Since the developers know that there are a lot of hurdles that your dynasty will need to overcome, they have created a mechanic that makes each dynasty different: legacies.

Players can grow Renown and get dynasty legacies that will make them better than all the people around them.

So, what are the best dynasty legacies in Crusader Kings 3 that you can pick? We have answered that question below.

Table of Contents

What are the Best Dynasty Legacies in Crusader Kings 3

Anyone that will tell you that a single CK3 dynasty legacy is the best is lying. All of them are really good and can be extremely helpful depending on the circumstances.

However, there are some that just work each playthrough and that most players wouldn’t mind picking for all of their dynasties.

Also, you don’t need to fully complete a legacy in CK3. Some tiers are more than enough to make players happy.

Here are the best dynasty legacies tiers in CK3 that you should always get:

Law Dynasty Legacy

The Law dynasty legacy in CK3 is relatively impressive. However, there is no need to get all the tiers.

You should usually try to get 2 tiers in the Law dynasty legacy. This way, you will get the following bonuses:

  • Mostly Fair
    • Popular Opinion +5
    • Hunt and Feast cost -30%
  • Faithful Magistrates
    • Title Creation -20% Gold cost
    • Control Growth +0.2 monthly

Most of the tiers in the Law dynasty legacy are very dependent on circumstances, so you usually won’t need them.

Even the first tier, the Mostly Fair perk, isn’t that useful. However, the reason you should invest two tiers in this legacy is for the monthly control.

Usually, control only increases during peacetime or with some effort from the player during wartime. Luckily, with this legacy, you will always have counties with 100% control.

Guile Dynasty Legacy

The Guile dynasty legacy will be very similar in the sense that you must pick up two tiers here. However, in many ways, both tiers are extremely useful in CK3 and will help you a lot long term:

  • Ominous Reputation
    • Dread Gain +20%
    • Natural Dread +15
  • Long Reach
    • Hostile Scheme Success +10%
    • Agent Bribe cost -50%

Dread is an extremely important stat for any ruler. If you don’t want to die a quick death, then it’s better to have your vassals fear you.

In many ways, since the first tier is also cheaper than most, it’s best to at least get this one. But, if you also like doing a lot of plots on the side, then Long Reach will save your life.

The +10% success rate is good, but what is really useful is the reduced cost of bribes. By lowering the bribes by 50%, you will be able to afford kings and queens to help you fulfill your evil plots.

Blood Dynasty Legacy

The first two tiers in the Blood dynasty legacy are mandatory if you want to try to do the Strengthen Bloodline decision. If you are also afraid of incest repercussions, then tier 3 is a must:

  • Noble Veins
    • Chance to inherit good congenital traits +30%
    • Chance of new good congenital traits +30%
  • Convergent Blood
    • Chance to reinforce congenital traits +30%
  • Resilient Bloodline
    • Chance to inherit bad congenital traits -30%
    • Chance of new bad congenital traits -30%

All that the Blood dynasty legacies do is help you keep good congenital traits for all of your dynasty members. Though this might be a bit underwhelming, it is extremely overpowered.

Your family members will have unreal stats and skills by just inheriting their parents’ congenital traits. If you also dabble in incest, you must get the 3rd tier to avoid inbred traits.

Glory Dynasty Legacy

We’ve reached one of the dynasty legacies in CK3 that all players need to get. The Glory dynasty legacy is incredibly useful and is one of the only ways to raise the vassal limit.

Luckily, you won’t need to get all five tiers. Just four:

  • Desirable Match
    • Marriage Acceptance +30
  • Renowned Name
    • Monthly Prestige +10%
    • Number of Knights +1
    • Mercenary Hire Cost -10%
    • Monthly Court Grandeur Change +100%
  • Earning Respect
    • Monthly Diplomacy Experience +10%
    • Personal Scheme Power +25%
  • Assertive Rulers
    • Vassal Limit +10
    • Short Reign Duration -20%
    • Claimant and Liberty Faction Acceptance for Vassals -20
    • Court Grandeur Bonus +5

The first tier can be really useful if you have a weaker start and need allies. This way, you can get high tier alliances through marriage with a higher acceptance rate.

The second tier is incredible. Knights are extremely powerful, so an extra one can’t hurt. Cheaper mercenaries are also really useful for unexpected wars.

Earning Respect is one of the more mediocre advantages of the Glory dynasty legacies, but the next one is the main reason you should advance so far.

The Assertive Rulers Glory dynasty legacy in CK3 will increase your vassal limit by 10, which might not seem like a lot when you have a small kingdom. But, if you control an empire, you won’t really want only king vassals, will you?

This legacy also keeps vassals at bay for some of the more annoying factions that they can create. No more powerful claimants and independence supporters in your country after taking this legacy.

The short reign debuff can also create huge problems when your character dies, so lowering its length is going to be a game changer.

Kin Dynasty Legacy

This is the only dynasty legacy that we will recommend you fully commit to. Not because every tier is incredible, but because the last level of this legacy is the best one in CK3:

  • Bounteous Loins
    • Fertility +10%
    • Attraction Opinion +5
  • Studious Youth
    • Child Opinion +10
    • Education Traits Score +2-3
  • Constant Care
    • Spouse Opinion +10
    • Pregnancy Complication Chance -25%
    • Medium Disease Resistance Health Boost
  • Close Bonds
    • Close Family Opinion +10
    • Dynasty Opinion +5
    • Personal Scheme Success with Dynasty members +30%
  • Graceful Aging
    • Once someone reaches age 30, and every 5 years after that, they will gain +1 random skill point
    • No Prowess Loss from Age
    • Dynasty members visibly age slower

As you can tell, the main thing you will get out of these legacies is increased opinions with dynasty members.

There are also some other nice bonuses along the way, such as the increased chance of gaining better education traits or disease resistance.

However, the only reason we are picking this as one of the best dynasty legacies in CK3 is the Graceful Aging tier.

This is the closest you will get to immortality in CK3. Not only will your characters become more skilled as they become older, but they will also keep their prowess stat.

With a legacy like this, you might even consider changing your succession laws to House Seniority.

With a simple hook, you can force people to do whatever you want them to do.

There are two kinds of hooks: weak and strong. With a weak hook, you can push people to do your bidding, but with a strong hook, you can make anyone listen to some of the most absurd requests.

Recommended Read: How to Get Artifacts in Crusader Kings 3

However, there is no clear way to get hooks in CK3. The game never properly tells you how to get them, and you usually get weak hooks anyway.

Here is how you can get strong hooks in Crusader Kings 3 and force anyone to do whatever you want.

Table of Contents

How to Get Strong Hooks in Crusader Kings 3

There are two ways that you can intentionally get strong hooks on people in CK3:

  • Blackmail
  • Fabricate Hooks

Blackmail for Strong Hooks

The first option is relatively simple and straightforward. If you set your Spymaster to do the Find Secrets task, then you have a high chance of learning what other people are doing behind your back.

There are two types of secrets that people can hold in CK3: shunned and criminal secrets. This means that, in secret, they either did something that is shunned by the community or criminal.

If you find out that someone has a secret, then you can interact with them and blackmail them for a hook. Courtiers with a shunned secret will give you a weak hook, and people with a criminal secret will give you a strong hook.

However, there is a chance that the person you are blackmailing will not accept your blackmail and will risk letting the secret out for everyone to learn. Luckily, if they have a criminal secret, they will usually give you the hook.

Fabricate Strong Hooks

If you invest a single point in the Schemer Intrigue Lifestyle, you will get access to the Fabricate Hook scheme. This works exactly the same as any plot, and the result will be a hook on your target.

You can get both a weak or strong hook from this scheme. You will have many choices along the way that will determine what kind of hooks you will get.

The higher your success rate, the higher the chance of a strong hook from this scheme. Your Intrigue skill also determines what kind of hook you will get.

Sometimes, you will even have the choice to back down and start over the plot if you don’t like the method that your character chose.

You also have a chance of fabricating hooks on people when you learn their secrets using the Find Secrets task.

Crusader Kings 3 – How to Get Artifacts https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-how-to-get-artifacts/ https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-how-to-get-artifacts/#respond Tue, 28 Feb 2023 21:27:30 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=40276 There are many ways that you can become stronger in Crusader Kings 3. One of the most interesting mechanics, though, is artifacts.

These legendary artifacts can increase stats, get you resources, and change how other people perceive you.

Recommended Read: What Are the Best Artifacts in Crusader Kings 3

However, the game never really explains properly how you are supposed to get them. Can you just craft them? Can you steal them from other rulers?

Well, to help you have the greatest throne room in history, here is how to get artifacts in Crusader Kings 3.

Table of Contents

How to Get Artifacts in Crusader Kings 3

There are 3 ways to get artifacts in CK3:

  • Commission
  • Claim
  • Inspiration

Commission Artifacts

The straightforward way to get artifacts in CK3 is to use the Commission Artifact decision. This means that you will pay a local crafter to make your artifact from scratch.

These artifacts are usually lower level than unique artifacts that come with Adventure inspiration. However, they can still be incredibly powerful.

Players will have the option to use this decision every 5 years, and they might often get disappointed with the artifacts they get.

After you pay the Gold for the decision and the artisan comes to ask you about your preferences, you will see the skills of this crafter.

If you open the artisan’s profile, you will see a little yellow sign next to their image that looks like two crossed brushes. If you hover over that icon, you will see the skill of the artisan.

Usually, the higher the skill of the crafter, the better the artifact. You should aim to get artisans described as “master” or “legendary.”

Choosing the Commission Artifact decision also starts an event chain where the artisan works on the artifact and you will have to make choices to influence the outcome.

Depending on your choices, the artifact can turn out to have one of four rarities:

  • Common
  • Masterwork
  • Famed
  • Illustrious

Claim Artifacts

Though commissioning artifacts is cheap and reliable, it usually doesn’t yield incredible results. This is why, if you really want to get the best artifacts out there, you need to claim them.

If you go down the Diplomat Diplomacy Lifestyle tree, the last perk you can get is called, and it will allow you to fabricate claims on artifacts.

You will just need to interact with a ruler that has the artifact you want and choose the “Buy Artifact Claim” option.

Luckily, you will only have to spend Piety or Prestige to get these claims. Once you have a claim on an artifact, there are many ways you can go about stealing that artifact:

  • Demand Artifact
  • Steal Artifact Scheme
  • Challenge for Artifact
  • Artifact Claim War

The easiest way to get the artifact is by just asking for it. If your enemy is afraid of a possible war, they can just accept a demand for the artifact without a fight.

If not, you can try to steal the artifact by starting a scheme. This can be a bit risky, and it will take a longer time, but it is the best way to get the artifact if there are no other options.

Luckily for prowess-proficient rulers, you can also challenge the other ruler to a non-lethal duel for the artifact. If they accept, you will then battle each other and see if you can win the artifact in a relatively noble way.

Otherwise, if push comes to shove, you can just declare an Artifact Claim War to get the artifact. If the artifact is really special and you feel like it deserves the lives of your men, you can always just force your enemies to give it up.

Inspiration

There are random landless NPCs in CK3 that will get inspiration to craft new artifacts. These artisans will approach you with a possible artifact idea if you have a royal court.

Luckily, you can search for these inspired artisans using the Find Character function. Press C, and the Find Character menu will open.

Then, set Relation to “All” and Inspiration to “Has Inspiration.” You will now see all the people of the world that have an inspiration at the moment.

If you hover over the yellow artisan icon next to their portrait, you will also see their skill level. When you see a master or legendary artisan, invite them to your court and wait for them to offer to make an artifact.

Otherwise, if you don’t want to put that much effort into it, just make sure that your royal court is prestigious, and random inspired artisans will come over to your lands for work.

Crusader Kings 3 – What Are the Best Artifacts? https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-what-are-the-best-artifacts/ https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-what-are-the-best-artifacts/#respond Tue, 28 Feb 2023 09:46:09 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=40257 One of the best features in Crusader Kings 3 is the addition of personal craftable and historical artifacts. These special items can make your dynasty stand above all others.

With the help of an artifact, you can increase your skills, your stats, and the opinions others have of you.

Recommended Read: How to Move Army in Crusader Kings 3

However, you might wonder which artifacts are the most useful out of the bunch. There are a lot of possible choices, and some are just plain useless.

In this guide, we will answer which artifacts are the best in Crusader Kings 3 and where you can find them.

Table of Contents

Best Artifacts in Crusader Kings 3

Since players can craft their own special artifacts at any time in CK3, you can make the best artifact for your playthrough yourself.

However, there are historical artifacts that some rulers have from the start of the game, attached to titles, and some can be crafted.

At random points in the game, some crafters will get an inspiration that will allow them to make historical artifacts from nowhere. The type of inspiration these crafters have is called an Adventure inspiration.

In this guide, we will list the best historical artifacts that exist at the start dates in CK3 and can be obtained through the Adventure inspiration:

Best Crown Artifact in CK3

Reichskrone

The crown that the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire wears is the best crown artifact you can get in CK3 that isn’t randomly simulated.

The Reichskrone offers the following bonuses:

  • +5% Monthly Renown
  • +25 Vassal Limit
  • +10 Courtier and Guest Opinion
  • +2% Monthly Prestige per Powerful Vassal on the Council

The best part about this crown is the increase in vassal limit. With a higher vassal limit than normal, you can decentralize your realm and make sure that you have more direct vassals than you normally would.

This can be really helpful if you usually deal with a lot of factions and want to avoid them due to higher total power.

Best Pedestal Item Artifacts in CK3

Crown of Justinian

The Byzantine emperor will always get the Crown of Justinian and they should always be extremely happy with it.

The Crown of Justinian offers these advantages:

  • +5% Monthly Renown
  • +1 Domain Limit
  • +10 Vassal Limit
  • +4 Court Grandeur

With the bonus 10 vassal limit, the Byzantines increase their chances of conquering and properly administering other lands.

Adding the +1 domain limit as well is really good for a powerful, centralized empire. Since there are no requirements for this artifact, you should do your best to get your hands on it.

David’s Harp

David’s Harp is by far one of the best Pedestal Items in CK3, as it offers a ton of bonuses. Using David’s Harp, you will get to have more than one romance scheme at a time, with +20 attraction with anyone you approach.

Here are the exact advantages of David’s Harp in CK3:

  • +1 Max Romance Schemes
  • +50% Romance Scheme Power
  • +4% Monthly Prestige
  • +2 Number of Knights
  • +20% Knight Effectiveness
  • +20 Attraction Opinion
  • +3% Monthly Piety per Knight
  • +6 Court Grandeur

Not only does David’s Harp allow you to woo many potential suitors, but it also increases the number of knights you can get. This is by far the best bonus from this artifact.

Also, with a +20% knight effectiveness and +3% monthly Piety per knight, this artifact is the dream of a ruler with great knights.

The only problem is that this artifact can only be crafted by an Adventure inspiration traveler and will only be available in Jerusalem.

Iron Crown of Lombardy

The Iron Crown of Lombardy is the Holy Roman Empire equivalent of the Crown of Justinian. It also increases the vassal limit by 10, but it doesn’t have the domain limit bonus.

On the other hand, you will gain some nice development in your capital and some Prestige on top of that:

  • +5% Monthly Renown
  • +4% Monthly Prestige
  • +10 Vassal Limit
  • +0.02 Monthly Development Growth in Realm Capital
  • +5 Italian Opinion
  • +5 Lombard Opinion
  • +6 Court Grandeur

The Iron Crown of Lombardy is a good Pedestal Item, and it is a lot better than most historical artifacts, but it can be considered a bit weaker than the rest of the artifacts on this list.

Joyeuse

We’ve said time and time again that knights and men-at-arms are the most important things when forming an army in CK3.

The Joyeuse artifact is exactly what you are looking for if you want to form an unstoppable army. This artifact will increase your knight limit by 3 and increase the toughness of heavy cavalry by 5%.

Since heavy cavalry is the most powerful men-at-arms in CK3 anyway, the buff to toughness will make them even tankier.

Heavy cavalry usually has around 35 to 40 toughness, which means they will get around 2 toughness bonus.

If you are looking to get Joyeuse, you will need to wait for an Adventure inspiration wanderer in Southern or Western Europe.

Here are the exact stats of the Joyeuse artifact in CK3:

  • +5% Monthly Renown
  • +1 Monthly Prestige
  • +3 Number of Knights
  • +5% Heavy Cavalry Toughness
  • +6 Court Grandeur

Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar

This mythical blade offers many bonuses to its owner. However, the most important thing that you will gain from the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar is the -15% tyranny gain.

Tyranny is the worst stat in CK3 and it can ruin your playthroughs every time you try to bring stability to your kingdom. Want to get rid of an heir? Tyranny. Want to relieve a vassal of their post? Tyranny.

So, the -15% tyranny gain is really good and important for a nice, friendly tyrant. Here are the other stats that the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar artifact gives:

  • +0.05 Monthly Renown
  • +0.5 Monthly Prestige
  • +20% Monthly Piety from Buildings
  • +0.03 Monthly Piety per Knight
  • -15% Tyranny Gain
  • +20% Development Growth in Drylands Terrain
  • +3 Court Grandeur

There can only be one Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar in the world and it can be crafted in Asia Minor, Middle East, or Persia.

Sword of God

The Sword of God is a Pedestal Item that the kingdom of Hungary gets at every start date. This amazing artifact increases one of the most helpful stats in the game: dread.

With high dread, you will completely avoid factions, rebellions, and assassination attempts. Nobody will try to hurt someone they are afraid of.

The Sword of God will increase your dread to a base 15 and will also get your Prestige per dread. Luckily, the Sword of God isn’t tied up to any religion, so you can always steal it away from the Magyars.

These are all the bonuses that the Sword of God artifact will offer its owner in CK3:

  • +0.1 Monthly Renown
  • +15 Natural Dread
  • +0.02 Monthly Prestige per Dread
  • +4 Court Grandeur

Best Regalia Artifact in CK3

Jeweled Danda

The Jeweled Danda only offers one clear advantage, and that is -30% tyranny gain. The regalia will also get another 3 random effects, so there is no way to properly judge how good it will be in your playthrough.

However, combining the Jeweled Danda with the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar will lower your tyranny gain by 45%. With such a low tyranny gain, you can double the tyranny moves that a normal player could.

Unfortunately, the Jeweled Danda needs to be crafted using the Adventure inspiration, but there can be 10 at the same time. To make it, you will need to be present in the Afghanistan, India, or Tibet region.

Best Throne Artifacts in CK3

Peacock Throne

There are two thrones in CK3 that are just a lot better than the others. Both of them can be crafted by an Adventure inspired artisan and they offer very similar bonuses.

The Peacock Throne can only be obtained in India, Burma, or Persia, and it will offer you the following buffs:

  • +5% Monthly Renown
  • +1 Diplomacy per Level of Fame
  • +1 Learning per Level of Fame
  • +0.05 Development Growth in Capital
  • +6 Court Grandeur

The best part about the Peacock Throne is the bonus to Learning, which will help you discover new cultural innovations faster.

Turquoise Throne

The Turquoise Throne is almost identical to the Peacock Throne, but it offers +1 Stewardship instead of Learning per Level of Fame.

Otherwise, they are the same throne. They can both be obtained the same way, in the same regions.

Best Trinket Artifact in CK3

The best trinket artifact in CK3 has to be the Navaratna, which is an Adventure artifact available in India.

Here are the effects that come with this amazing artifact:

  • +0.05 Monthly Renown
  • +0.5 Monthly Prestige
  • -10% Temple Holding and Buildings Construction Cost
  • +0.02 Development Growth in Capital
  • +3 Court Grandeur

This artifact is not limited to any religion and can be crafted 3 times. This means that you can increase your Development growth by 0.06 monthly since you can equip all 3 of them.

The real reward would be the -10% buildings cost since it will allow you to max out most of your buildings in no time.

Most of the time you will spend playing this game will be at war.

However, there is no way you can ever win or even fight a war if you don’t know how to move your army.

Recommended Read: How to Get Primogeniture in Crusader Kings 3

Now, you either are incredibly new at the game, or there is some kind of bug stopping you from moving your troops.

In this guide, we will fix all your problems, no matter the circumstances, and show you how to move your army in Crusader Kings 3.

Table of Contents

How to Move an Army in Crusader Kings 3

If you are just starting your CK3 adventure, then you should learn a bit about how armies work. When you choose to raise an army in CK3, they will take some time to gather there.

Depending on how far away your territories are from one another, this can take from 1 day to 30 days. During this time, telling the army to move won’t do anything.

They will be stuck gathering there. You can, however, tell the troops to stop gathering at any time or just force them to move before finishing the gathering process.

You can tell if an army is gathering or not if there is a little red flag with three arrows pointing inwards under the number of troops.

Players can see how long this will take by left-clicking on the army. In the bottom right of the newly appeared interface, you can see “Gathering: X days left,” X representing the number of days.

Once the gathering process is done, you just need to left-click the army and then right-click on the CK3 map to move them.

You can tell you have successfully moved your troops if a yellow arrow appeared on the screen, showing the route the army is taking.

If you want to cancel the gathering phase, just left-click the army and then press “Ctrl + right-click” on a province to send to force the army to move.

What to Do if You Can’t Move Armies in Crusader Kings 3

If you still can’t move the army in CK3, and this seems more like a bug than your lack of experience, then here is what you can do:

  • Press Shift, Ctrl, and Alt, one after the other (not together).
  • Start a new game.
  • Quit the game and open it back up.

The first method should fix your problem if this happened due to alt-tabbing through your windows. This is a regular problem that has been happening on Windows since the dawn of time.

Another reason why you might experience bugs is the use of old save files. If the game is updated and you are still playing an older save game, then you might consider starting a new playthrough.

Otherwise, just restart the game, and the problem should go away.

Crusader Kings 3 – How to Get Primogeniture https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-how-to-get-primogeniture/ https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-how-to-get-primogeniture/#respond Sun, 26 Feb 2023 15:17:24 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=40194 One of the hardest parts of Crusader Kings 3 is the succession. This is when all of your work can be instantly lost, and you will have to fight and assassinate to get it back.

However, there is a succession law that fixes this constant problem that partition brings, and that is primogeniture.

Recommended Read: How to Spread Culture in Crusader Kings 3

But it seems that primogeniture is not available when the game starts, and you can’t see any requirements to actually get it.

Well, here is how you can get primogeniture in Crusader Kings 3 and fix the succession crisis once and for all.

Table of Contents

What is Primogeniture in Crusader Kings 3?

There are many succession laws in CK3, and primogeniture is the best one out of the bunch. With primogeniture, you make sure that your oldest heir inherits every title that you have.

Your other heirs won’t receive anything when you die, but you will have to make sure that they get some territories from you if you don’t want problems with Prestige.

Since primogeniture fixes most of the problems you will have during your CK3 playthrough, the developers have made sure that you can’t get it easily.

How to Get Primogeniture in Crusader Kings 3

To choose the primogeniture succession law in CK3, you will first need to learn the Primogeniture cultural innovation.

However, players will only get access to this innovation after the year 1200. So, even if you choose the late 1066 start date, you will still have to play at least 140 years before you could actually use primogeniture.

Just researching the Primogeniture cultural innovation will also take at least 20 to 30 years. Once that is done, you will need to head over to your succession laws and implement them.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to change your succession laws if your powerful vassals don’t approve, so make sure to also take care of them. You can’t even have one powerful vassal that opposes your succession law change.

By getting the Primogeniture cultural innovation, you also get access to the Ultimogeniture succession law.

After conquering territories, the conquered cultures and religions will not approve of your rule.

This can result in a lot of unrest and rebellions that you will have to stop using your huge armies. However, there are a few ways to make the people of the lands like you.

One of these things would be to spread your own culture into their lands and make them forget their original language. Amazing, right?

Here is how to spread your culture in conquered territories in Crusader Kings 3.

How to Spread Culture in Crusader Kings 3?

There is only one way to change the culture of counties in CK3 and spread your own culture there, and that is through your Steward.

Your Steward will have a task called “Promote Culture,” which will change the culture of a county after a lot of years.

Usually, even with a level 20 Steward, it will still take around 7 to 8 years to spread your culture in CK3. However, there are ways to speed up the process. Developed counties will also require more time to Promote Culture.

Every point in Stewardship for your Steward will increase the culture conversion by 0.05. You will need this culture conversion to reach 100 for the county to change its culture.

This means that a Steward with 5 Stewardship will have a base 0.25 culture conversion speed, while a level 20 Steward will increase the Promote Culture task by 1 every month.

In a maximum of 100 months, a level 20 Steward should be done spreading your culture in the assigned province.

Other Ways to Spread Culture in CK3

The player isn’t the only one who has access to the Promote Culture task. Your vassals can also use it in their territories and the provinces of their own vassals.

This means that if you make sure that the rulers of different lands are also part of your culture, they might also use the Promote Culture task through their Steward to help you out.

If you have conquered a lot of land in a war, it would be best to get rid of all the new vassals and appoint rulers that have your culture and religion.

This way, your vassals will also use their council to convert and spread the culture in their counties.

Unfortunately, there is no way to force your vassals to spread your culture. However, they are very likely to do it. So, just appoint vassals with the same culture and faith, and your culture will spread in no time.

Once you get the immortal trait, nothing can stop you. The only reason you would die is due to injuries and assassinations.

Can You Become Immortal in Vanilla Crusader Kings 3?

Unfortunately, there is no way to become immortal in CK3 without cheating or using mods. There is no mystic wanderer event where you seek immortality.

But, if you still want to get an immortal character, there are a few ways you can do this.

How to Become Immortal Using Mods in Crusader Kings 3

The best method that you should use to become immortal in CK3 is to install some mods. These will simplify the whole process and get you the desired result fast.

Highlander Immortals

The best way to play as an immortal in CK3 is by actually making it interesting. The Highlander Immortals mod will simulate the 1986 Highlander movie, where you have to hunt down other immortals to become more powerful.

There will be 12 immortals spread around the world, and they will all have to kill each other to get better stats and skills.

This game mode can be initiated from the Decisions menu, and you will also have to choose if you want to be an immortal or not.

You can also just create 12 random immortals that exist around your normal rulers and vassals.

Extended Immortality

The Extended Immortality mod will allow you to become immortal through a decision. This mod also makes immortality more interesting, adding new mechanics to the game.

You will have the ability to absorb the traits of your heirs. This makes children actually useful as an immortal as well. Players will also still get diseases and will have to fight them to get long-term immunity.

CK3 players will also get the chance to set the visual age, which will make the ruler look like the selected age.

With the help of the Extended Immortality mod, you will actually get to play a relatively interesting immortality playthrough in CK3.

Immortality Improved

In case those other mods didn’t work for you, the Immortality Improved mod is the most straightforward out of the bunch.

You can just become immortal from a decision and also make other characters immortal the same way.

Players can also remove their health issues, the same as in the Extended Immortality mod, and they can also mount kingdom level invasions at any time.

Crusader Kings 3 – How to Get Nicknames (Every Way) https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-how-to-get-nicknames/ https://gamerempire.net/crusader-kings-3-how-to-get-nicknames/#respond Sun, 26 Feb 2023 13:57:17 +0000 https://gamerempire.net/?p=40160 Every time you might go onto Reddit to check what other Crusader Kings 3 players are doing, you will be overwhelmed by their incredible nicknames.

The Bane of the Danes, the Dragon, the Enlightened, and Troll-Slayer are some of the nicknames that your characters can get if you meet some special, hidden requirements.

But, unfortunately, nicknames aren’t properly explained by the game, and you just seem to be getting them at random.

Well, don’t worry. In the guide, we will tell you exactly how to get all the possible nicknames in Crusader Kings 3.

Table of Contents

How to Get Nicknames in Crusader Kings 3

To get a nickname in CK3, your character will just need to meet some special requirements, choose some interesting paths in events, or complete decisions.

Each one of these things can help you get a nickname. You will most likely get a nickname just by playing the game normally.

However, if you want to get your hands on a cool nickname, then you will need to know beforehand what you need to do to get it.

So, here are all the ways you can get nicknames in CK3:

Get Nicknames from Decisions in CK3

The largest number of nicknames in CK3 will come from decisions. Luckily, you can see those in the Decisions menu at any time if they are eligible.

Most major decisions will get you a nickname. Think of things like uniting the North Sea Empire, or restoring Israel. All of these nickname sources are available in the Decisions menu if you are eligible.

Usually, decisions that also give nicknames are locked off due to your religion or culture. For example, only a ruler of the Brythonic culture can gain the Pendragon nickname.

When you start your game, make sure to check which major decisions will be available in the future, and what kind of feats you will need to fulfill to complete them. Usually, most will involve conquering a lot of lands.

There are also some interesting decisions that can get you a nickname, for example, the Build a Glass Monument decision.

This is only available to Lunatic rulers with the Distinguished Level of Fame, and it will allow you to build a modern glass building. In exchange, your character will get the Man/Woman of Glass nickname.

Get Nicknames from Lifestyle Events and Traits in CK3

As you pursue your chosen Lifestyle in CK3, you will randomly get events that can actually give you nicknames.

Most often than not, the easiest way to get a cool nickname is by completing two trees of a Lifestyle skill.

For example, completing the trees and getting two traits from the Martial Lifestyle will increase the chance of randomly getting five nicknames.

Usually, the nickname will just be one of the traits that you get by completing a Lifestyle tree (the Architect, the Valiant, and so on).

In random events from the Lifestyles, you will also get choices that can get your nicknames. However, these are usually risky.

You will get a choice that has a high chance of failure (if your skills are low) and that can either result in a good nickname or a bad nickname if you fail. Unfortunately, you will be stuck with the bad nickname for the rest of your life, even if you do great things after that.

Get Nicknames from Wars with Northern Conquerors in CK3

Some of the best nicknames in CK3 can be gained by surviving 10 Viking Adventurer wars. These are random wars that will pop up where a random Viking will attack you with tens of thousands of troops.

If you can stop 10 of these wars in a lifetime, you can get these great nicknames:

  • the Bane of the Danes
  • the *Your-Culture* Wall
  • Nord-Foe
  • the Scourge of the Northerners
  • the Burner of Ash

That’s everything you need to know about how to get nicknames in Crusader Kings 3!

Some of these choices also involve what you will build in your territories.

There are many buildings available at the start of the game, and all the bonuses you can get sound good. However, what is the best choice?

Is it better to have incredibly overpowered men-at-arms or the best economy in the world?

Well, in this guide, we will tell you exactly which buildings are the best to build in Crusader Kings 3 and why.

Table of Contents

Best Buildings to Build in Crusader Kings 3

All county capitals will have space for 4 buildings in CK3. If they are also the capital county of a duchy, they will also get a duchy building.

We will first talk about the best choices for the 4 slots in your capital barony. In CK3, you can get many bonuses from buildings.

However, the most important thing they can provide is Gold. If you have money then you can afford a lot of men-at-arms, which are a lot better than normal levies.

Yes, there are buildings that give men-at-arms buffs, but those won’t be necessary if you can afford to get the maximum number of troops.

You should also avoid buildings that provide levies as their main bonus. Levies are not the most important resource in the game. They are the weakest troops you can get.

Since you will get a lot of levies by just conquering lands and building castles, but you can buy men-at-arms and mercenaries with Gold.

So, let’s see the best buildings in CK3 that can bring you the most amount of Gold:

Manor Houses

In farmlands, players can build Manor Houses. This amazing building will give you 0.7 Gold monthly at level 1 and only requires 200 Gold to build.

Taking this into consideration, the number of years the Manor Houses would be able to pay their investment would be 24 years.

There are only two more buildings that can pay their investment in such a short time, but it is the best one when it comes to the flat amount of Gold that it will give.

At the maximum level, Manor Houses also provide +5% Development growth and +2% taxes in the county. In a large county with a lot of holdings, this bonus can be amazing.

Every time you get the chance to build something, and Manor Houses are available, make sure to get it.

Farms & Fields

Farms & Fields is the obvious choice in most provinces if you want to make money in CK3. This building only costs 150 Gold and will give you 0.5 monthly at level 1.

The initial investment can be paid off in 25 years, and it is also available in farmlands, drylands, plains, and floodplains.

At maximum levels, it offers similar buffs to the Manor Houses. So, in a farmland barony, building both the Manor Houses and Farms & Fields will get you incredible monetary gains.

Hill Farms, Forestry, and Wetland Farms

Each one of these buildings is available in special terrains that don’t have access to Manor Houses and Farms & Fields.

You can get the Hill Farms in hill baronies, Forestry in forests, jungles, and taigas, and Wetland Farms in wetlands.

We placed them all together since they all offer the same amount of money and they cost the same amount of Gold per level.

The bonuses at the maximum levels are a bit different, but what matters is that if you have your capital in a territory with any terrain besides farmlands, you will probably have to get one of these buildings.

To build one of these buildings in CK3, you will need 100 Gold, and you will get 0.35 money monthly. Your initial investment will be paid in full after 24 years.

Tradeport

The last really important building that you should get every time in CK3 is the Tradeport. The income from this building is really good, but the best part about it is the Development growth.

At the max level, a Tradeport will increase your Development growth by 40%. At level 1, you will also get 0.35 Gold monthly and +5% Development growth.

Best Military Buildings in CK3

Unfortunately, most military buildings in CK3 aren’t incredible. Most of them will increase levies, which isn’t a priority.

However, there are some special buildings in territories that would normally be really bad which are incredible:

  • Camelry
  • Elephantry

These two buildings will, first of all, make your camel riders or elephant cavalry extremely powerful. But, the real reason we are getting these is for the bonus knights.

Knights are the most powerful troops in CK3. They can single-handedly defeat armies if they have high prowess.

Evolving any one of these two buildings to the maximum level will get you +4 knights, which is incredibly powerful.

Elephantry is available in the jungle, while Camelry can be built in the desert, desert mountains, floodplains, and oases.

Best Duchy Building in Crusader Kings 3

Another important building for your kingdom in CK3 is the duchy building. You can only build one and will have major impacts on all the counties in the duchy.

Duchy buildings are very precise in their bonuses, which means that you will usually get the one that helps you the most in your circumstances.

However, if you want to know which ones will give you the best advantages in general, then you are in the right place. Here are the best duchy buildings in CK3:

Military Academies

The Military Academies will give you an amazing advantage over the other rulers of the world: knights. Not only will you get a lot of knights, but you will also increase their effectiveness.

At the maximum level, Military Academies will give you 6 extra knights, +75 knight effectiveness, and -5% army maintenance costs.

Though you can say that this building doesn’t necessarily improve the duchy itself, it will improve your realm overall.

This duchy building is the best military building in the game by far, and it will allow you to get the most qualitative army in CK3.

Royal Reserves

Do you want even more money and development? Then get the Royal Reserves. Development is the best way to improve your country in the long term.

With the help of the Royal Reserves duchy building, your kingdom will improve its Development growth by at least 10%.

At level 3, the Royal Reserve will get you +30% Development growth in the duchy, +15 popular opinion, and +1.4 monthly Gold.

If you care a lot about being an economic powerhouse, then the Royal Reserves should be your first choice for a duchy building in every playthrough.
