As you progress through Lost Ark, you’ll experience just how many different items and resources you receive from various sources.
Not always is it obvious what you should do with each one and whether or not it’s a good idea to keep them.

One of the items that aren’t obvious what to do with is Broken Equipment Powder, which you get from dismantling items.
The only thing to do with Broken Equipment Powder is to sell it to any merchant for Silver, and thus is what you should do with it. You cannot do anything else with Equipment Powder than sell it.
It’s the same story with Useful Equipment Pieces – the only thing you can do with it is sell it to a vendor.

What to do with Broken Equipment Powder in Lost Ark
You cannot do anything else with Broken Equipment Powder in Lost Ark than sell it to a merchant for Silver.
What you should do with it is, therefore, to sell it to any merchant like Potion or Gear Merchants, as that’s the only use of Broken Equipment Powder.
Useful Equipment Pieces, despite its name, is also a junk item like Broken Equipment Powder that you cannot do anything with besides selling for Silver.
The main reason why the feature to give you a junk item for dismantling low-level gear is there is to allow players to easily clear their inventory and not have to sell each piece of equipment by themselves.
With dismantling, you can, with just a few clicks, instantly clear your inventory of gear that you don’t need and then easily sell its powder and pieces for Silver.
You do also get a bit more Silver from gear by first dismantling it and then selling its powder and pieces rather than selling the equipment directly. The difference isn’t big, however.
Some higher level and rarity gear that you will start obtaining after reaching level 50 will break into materials that you need for crafting and upgrading upon being dismantled.
