You need Fish to craft various food items in Lost Ark, making the resource needed later on in the game.
Food items are used in PvE content like Chaos Dungeons and Raids, as they provide temporary stat boosts, making you stronger.

Before you can farm Fish in the game, you need to unlock Trade Skills and thereby Fishing.
To get Fish in Lost Ark, find a fishing spot and use the fishing skill Float Fishing. When your float goes underwater and an exclamation mark appears above it, use the Float Fishing skill again to reel in the Fish you’ve caught.
You cannot fish anywhere where there is water in Lost Ark. You can only fish at dedicated fishing locations. The first fishing location you encounter in the game is to the right of Lakebar Village in Lakebar.

How to get Fish in Lost Ark
You get Fish in Lost Ark by using the Fishing Trade Skill at fishing locations around the world.
You can only fish at dedicated fishing spots, not just anywhere where there’s water present.
The first fishing spot that you’ll reach in the game is next to the Lakebar Village in Lakebar, the same place where you unlock Trade Skills.
To find fishing spots, open up the World Map and look at the Trade Skills info bar at the top-right corner of the window. If there’s a fishing hook icon in the info bar, there are fishing spots on the selected map.
The exact location of the fishing spots on the selected map is also marked with a fishing hook icon, as shown in the image below.
To fish at a fishing spot, you need to use the Float Fishing skill, which you can access by pressing ‘B’ on your keyboard.
Use the Float Fishing skill next to the water at a fishing spot to start fishing.
When you see the float being pulled underwater and an exclamation mark appears above it, reel in.
You reel in by using the Float Fishing skill again.
You get various fish and pearls from fishing, including the basic version of the resource that’s just called ‘Fish’.
Before you can start fishing in the game, you need to have learned Fishing, which you automatically learn when you learn Trade Skills.
You also need to be wearing a Fishing Tool to fish in Lost Ark.
