Many Destiny 2 players find themselves running out of space for all of the Bounties that they want to complete. Understanding how your Quests affect your Bounty capacity is important.
Today, we will take a look at Quest and Bounty Capacity to find out just how many Bounties you can actually hold.

You can hold a maximum of 63 Bounties in Destiny 2. This number is shared with your Quests and decreases for every Quest you have in your Quest tab.

How Many Bounties Can You Hold in Destiny 2?
Completing Bounties is one of the best ways you can level up in Destiny 2. Many players will maximize their game time by trying to stock up on as many Bounties as they can before heading out to complete them all at the same time.
Unfortunately, there is a limit as to how many Bounties you can carry. To find out how many Bounties you can carry, head to your Quests menu.
Here, you will see all of your active Expansion Quests, Campaign Quests, Seasonal Quests, Exotic Quests, and Catalyst Quests displayed on the left. On the right, you will see all of the Bountiues that you have yet to complete.
At the bottom of the screen, you should see your Total Quest and Bounty Capacity. This number shows how many total Quests and Bounties you currently have on hand.
You will notice that you can only have a maximum of 63 Quests and Bounties held at the same time. This capacity is shared between the two.
This means that if you have many older Quests from past Seasons still in your inventory, you will have less available space for holding Bounties. This shouldn’t be a problem for regular players, though returning players will definitely notice a lack of Bounty slots.
If you find yourself hurting for extra Quest and Bounty slots, it may be time to complete some of those Quests that you have been ignoring. Maybe get that Catalyst that you have been putting off.
Alternatively, you can start abandoning older Quests that you don’t see yourself pursuing anytime soon. Most Quests can be reacquired from the Quest Archive Kioske in the Tower, so you will never miss out on content by abandoning a Quest.
You may be wondering why anyone would need so many Bounty slots if they are going to turn them in when they are completed. It is true that the average player does not need very many open Bounty slots to complete their dailies.
The players who need as many Bounty slots as possible are the ones who are preparing for the release of a new Season or Expansion. We’ve mentioned that Bounties are a great source for XP.
The best part about Bounty XP is that it is on-demand. Once you complete a Bounty, it will not expire, allowing you to turn it in whenever you wish.
This leads many players to hoard as many completed Bounties as possible for weeks, sometimes even months before a new Season begins.
Once it is launch day, these players will complete the first Seasonal mission and unlock their Seasonal Artifact before mass-completing all of their saved Bounties.
This leads to an enormous amount of XP that jumpstarts their Seasonal Artifact Level, giving them access to many of the new Seasonal Perks as soon as possible.
For players preparing to take on newly released content on day one, this is a must-use strategy to gain an edge.
