How to Weave in Don’t Starve Together
Besides watching Twitch streams and spending real money to obtain skins, you can use Spools to weave any weaveable item in Don’t Starve Together.
To weave an item, the following conditions must be met:
- The item is weaveable
- You don’t own the item you want to weave
- You have enough Spools
Next, click on the Item Collection menu from the game’s main menu. Here, you can click on any character on the right to see items involving that specific character.
Or, you can click on Curio Cabinet in the left menu to open your inventory, revealing your Spools and Klei points, as well as all item categories.
To check if an item is weaveable in Don’t Starve Together, simply click on it. If you see the button Weave at the bottom, it’s weaveable.
On the other hand, you can use the filter above the item list to quickly show all weaveable items with the configuration below:
- Owned Filter: Off
- Weaveable Filter: On
The same settings can be used to check for weaveable items in any category, including: Belongings, Beards, Emotes, Emoticons, Portrait Frames, Profile Icons, and Vignettes.
Now what you need to do left is to get the Spools required to weave the item.
Obtain Spools in Don’t Starve Together
The only way to get Spools is by unraveling items. Depending on the item rarity, the amount of Spools you receive will be different as below:
Item Rarity | Spools from unraveling | Cost to Weave |
---|---|---|
Common | 5 | 15 |
Classy | 15 | 45 |
Spiffy | 50 | 150 |
Distinguished | 150 | 450 |
Elegant | 450 | 1350 |
Heirloom | 1350 | – |
To check if an item is unravelable, click on it. The item is unravelable if you see the Unravel button at the bottom or the word “Woven” before its name.
Since you’re most likely to receive common or classy items from weekly chests, earning enough Spools to weave items can be a huge problem.
So, spend your Spools wisely and only weave Elegant items if possible. You can get other rarities from weekly chests or the Trade Inn.
That’s how to weave in Don’t Starve Together!
