How to Dismount in Bannerlord
The only point when a player could dismount their horse in Bannerlord is during battles or while riding in towns and villages.
A good moment to dismount would be when defending from a siege and having to scale the walls of the castle to defend.
During these moments, it would be best to instantly get down from the horse and find a good position to defend the settlement.
You can also dismount to explore weirder parts of a town you are currently exploring.
If you want to get down from your horse and dismount to properly fight enemies in close quarters in Bannerlord, all you need to do is follow these instructions:
- Stop the horse from running.
- Look directly at your horse. If nothing appears on your screen, try looking lower than you normally would. Try to look at the saddle, rather than at the horse.
- You will see the interact button appear on the screen (F on PC) next to the phrase “Dismount”.
- Press the button shown, and your character will dismount their horse.
Once you are down from your horse, you just have to look at your horse, and you will see the same thing appear on your screen, but this time it will say “Mount”.
Press the button, and you will be back on the horse. There is a high chance that if the horse is hit while you aren’t on it, it will run away.
If this happens, it will be really hard to get back on it, so be sure you want to dismount for a long time if you do it.
