Being part of many peoples’ childhood, it’s natural for people to wonder whether or not this old classic has shut down or is shutting down.

Interestingly, the Korean version of Maplestory is doing better than ever, and the mobile version of Maplestory, Maplestory M has also grown significantly in the past two years.

You might have heard the news about something related to Maplestory shutting down, which is true.
Back in May of 2020, Nexon shut down the Global and Japanese version of Maplestory 2, a separate 3D game set in the Maplestory universe, as the game was not doing well and had a sharply declining player base.
