Burberry took to its site to announce the upcoming Burberry x Minecraft collaboration. While we don’t know much about when or what this collab will include, I find it interesting that Burberry is making this announcement and not Minecraft.

Burberry is a British luxury fashion house. Thomas Burberry founded the brand back in 1856. With a goal of sustainable luxury, Burberry specializes in ready-made fashion designer clothing. They are most known for their checkered patterns and trench coats.
What is Minecraft
Minecraft is the loveable block-building game released in 2009 by Markus Persson. Minecraft’s original name was Cave Game and built with the Java programming language. At the time, Minecraft differed from other block-building games because you had to gather the resources needed for your structures.
Minecraft was purchased by Microsoft in 2014 for $2.5 billion. As of 2021, Minecraft has sold over 238 million copies. Part of its success is that it is available to play virtually everything. Once you add it all up, Minecraft is one of the biggest games in gaming history.
