In any game where you can customize the appearance of your character in character creation, some players end up wanting to change their choices later on.
In Diablo 4, you, unfortunately, cannot change the hair, skin color, or face of your character after you’ve created it. You can, however, change the makeup, jewelry, and markings.

To change your character’s appearance in Diablo 4, specifically its makeup, jewelry, and markings, go to a Wardrobe in any major town, select the “APPEARANCE” tab at the top, and choose your new look. Then click “CONFIRM LOOK” when you’re happy with your choices.

How to change your character appearance in Diablo 4
When you have so many customization choices when creating your character, it’s quite common that you wish to change something later in the game.
Unfortunately, you cannot change all the features of your character’s look after it’s been created. You can only change its makeup, jewelry, and markings.
Here is how to change the makeup, jewelry, and markings of your character in Diablo 4:
- Go to a Wardrobe. These are located in all major towns in the game.
- Select the “APPEARANCE” tab at the top.
- Choose the new makeup, jewelry, and markings styles on the right side by using the left and right buttons as well as the colors at the bottom.
- Press the “CONFIRM LOOK” button at the bottom when you’re happy with your new look.
You can see in the image below what the Wardrobe looks like, as well as what the icon for it looks like, so you know what to look for on the map.
Changing your character’s makeup, jewelry, and markings through the Wardrobe does not cost anything and can be done as frequently as you wish.
